Default Christmas Eve On The Beach

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!

I'm working this morning, but it's mainly to give the girls their presents, and I hope to be home right after lunch. That should give me enough time to get everything ready for dinner. I told everybody to come at 4, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Good morning Cottage Have fun with the girls this morning.

I'm working today too. I decided to save a few of my floating holidays for spring. It will be very quiet so I'm going to do some computer clean-up and then clean the bldg fridge out. I'm hoping the boss will let us out around 3 just because it will be nice to be home early.

Zeff - wow, a little excitement! Hope this doesn't interfere with your holiday celebrations.

Anyone else around here today?

Good morning chicks!

Cottage - that sounds lovely. I wish we had family to come over at the holiday .

Cyndi - Hope you get out early! Rest up for your weekend!

Me- J-u-s-t getting over the stomach bug my DS shared with me, so maybe I can eat normal today? DS has school off, so he goes to work with me; DD gets out of day care early. Then the real fun begins!!

It'll be quiet for us tomorrow, just a lot of food! Mostly veggies though...yum!

Good Morning Ladies! What crazy weather! Right now it is 47 and raining, yesterday was ice. I had a closing at 4 yesterday and the closer got stuck on I-70 which was closed due to ice, last message I got from her was at 8:45 lastnight that she was still sitting on the highway and it was still closed. How crappy would that be? I feel awful for her because now she has to come down here today for the closing.

Hoping for a short day, boss is saying noon! He hasn't started his Christmas shopping yet so I reap the benefits!

Cottage sounds like you have a very busy day planned.

Cyndi hope your day is very quiet and early!

Twynn glad your feeling better!

Tonight is at my FIL's, tomorrow is with the rest of the IL and then Friday we are headed to "Michiana" for a long overdue Christmas with my side of the family, very excited for that one!

Have a very happy Christmas Eve all!

Good Morning! I can't believe I slept this late. DH called at 9 and woke me up. Apparently I needed the rest!

Cottage- Have fun giving out presents. You should have plenty of time to get everything ready before your guests arrive.

Good Morning Cyndi!

Twynn- I hope you continue to feel better. Go slow on the real food until you see how your stomach likes it.

Pacer- I can't imagine just starting Christmas shopping like your boss. I'm dreading the short trip to the grocery store for spaghetti sauce. I wouldn't need that, but when I bought groceries the bag with the sauce in it broke in the parking lot and spaghetti sauce went everywhere...

We will be off to the in-laws later today; my parents and GM will meet us there. Then tomorrow my kids come home from the ex. I can't wait! We got them (and us) a Wii and a Wii Fit. I am so ready to see their faces!

Morning!

No time for personals, I need to get to the gym and then a couple of last minute errands.

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas Eve! Barb and her son will be over around 5:00 and then we will head to church for the 7:00 service. I am looking forward to it!

My weight is holding steady at already meeting my December goal. I plan on cheating tomorrow and then getting right back on the wagon on Friday. I want to start the New Year with some good habits already in place.

Love ya girlies!

Merry Christmas to everyone! I'm working and I found out my gym closes at 4...*sigh*. It might have to be a yoga dvd for today's workout.

Good luck with tomorrow's eating, all! Lord knows I need it.

Merry Christmas again,

Good morning all.

Cottage, enjoy your gathering today.

Cyndi, hope you get to leave early.

TwynnB, we had the stomach flu going around here, but luckily I didn't get it. Enjoy your day.

Stephanie, have fun in Michigan. I'm originally from there and really miss it.

murphy, have fun with the Wii. My grandsons have one and I love the bowling and boxing. They bought the Wii Fit too and it's fun. About Florida, we lived there for about 4 yrs and I know when it was 70 or below, I was freezing.

Kiko, have fun with Barb.

I have all my baking under control. Can't really do much today. A lot of things to do in the morning. We usually do Christmas eve, but my granddaughter's husband has to work, so we moved it to Christmas day. So they will all come on Christmas morning to exchange gifts. We have a huge feast planned.

I doubt I'll get here tomorrow, so Merry Christmas to all!!!

Morning Chickies!

Not 100% back on track this morning but close. IN all aspects including SB. I don't know why I do this. Anyway, food shopping *will* happen on Boxing Day!

Hope you all are having/continue to have safe and happy holidays! I will be around and posting

I finally got on the Wii Fit last night. I feel bad that it is the first workout this month and the weight is up a bit too.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Kiko and her family tonight. I am so thankful that it looks like nice weather so it isn't going to get cancelled by snow or ice.

Brian has already guessed one of his presents, He was over looking at them last night and pulled out a tape measure. First words out of his mouth were: "10 inch origami paper!" I guess I should have left it in the shipping box but he does sounds excited.

Good morning busy chickies
Zeff - thinking of you and hope you last, its no fun having a Christmas birthday from what I hear.
Thinking of Ruth because the flights were a real mess yesterday.
May you all have a happy Christmas and a blessed one.
I got my inspiration from Cottage and we are having lasagna tonight with some extra dishes and going to mass at 9pm.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone

Finally able to check in from very, very snowy Nanaimo, BC. 30 cm predicted! I was enroute from 4 AM yesterday morning until 7 PM last night - that's 10 PM body time. Then I went for dinner at my DD's! Of course I woke at 3 whuich is my 6! (I may sneak in a nap this afternoon.)

I sure am lucky to get here. Lots of folks are still in the Vancouver airport after so many flights cancelled. Right now, nothing is moving at all in or out today so there will be some very sad folks for Christmas.

I plan to stay here at my daughter's house overnight and enjoy Christmas Dinner and Santa in the morning. We are goiing to have brunch "en famille" tomorrow so it will be just lovely! I am so glad to be here.

Wishing you and your families and friends a loving Christmas!

Ruth - So glad to hear you made it to your DD's. Enjoy the morning with the family

Well I did get to leave 1.5 hours early but I didn't take a break. Still glad to be out while it was still light I've been less than stellar this week and have nibbled on a few cookies. Getting myself on the treadmill in a few to work a little off!

Hope you all have a pleasant evening of family and friends.

Hi chicks!
Ruth, so glad to see you made it! I have been wondering about where you might be stranded.

This morning I ran out to do some errands and did one of those cartoon things with my feet when I hit the solid sheet of ice on the front steps. Luckily it warmed up just enough to melt everything. It was worth the trip out, as I was a little short on presents for DS and was looking for a projection clock radio, but no luck. Checked Kmart and they didn't have any either, but then just lucked into one in the pharmacy section (??). Then I bought Starbucks for DD1 and her coworkers and dropped that off. Then working, getting dinner ready, etc. Now it's just relax, have dinner, watch Muppets Christmas Carol, get the kids to bed, then I've still got to wrap their gifts, since one or the other was home sick the last couple of days and I haven't had a chance to do it.

Hope all are having a fun Christmas Eve!
