Default Heart Rate Monitor?

I'm asking for a heart rate monitor for Christmas. However, I need an affordable one, but one where I can enter my weight, height, age, etc. Whatever it needs to get as accurate a number as possible.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Hmmm.... I too have been searching for a good one since the one I have (its a Mio watch) IMO isn't as good as I'd like it to be. I've been considering an omicron one, but since I'm out of work, it's sort of on the back burner for me. Might want to check into one of those since its not too highly priced.

My mom got me a HRM for Christmas - don't know which one she got, I listed the Polar F4 & the F11 as 'items of interest'. The F4 is also a nice model - the F4 is on sale on Amazon right now, actually.

If you work out in a gym - consider the F6. It is coded so you don't get interference from other HRM's in the area. If you just want to watch your heart rate and count calories burned - the F4 will prolly be just fine.

I love my HRM. (I have an F4 that finally died after a lot of abuse) and an F6 that even works in the swimming pool.

The F4 will do everything you need just fine. I have the F6 and I looooove it ... but I probably could have gotten by with the F4.

Um. Or just what Gina said above. Since I didn't read her response before I started typing.

I have an F11 and I think it's fantastic. F4s and F6s are good, too - an important thing to consider is the strap that comes with it. Some of the cheaper brands/models have really irritating chest straps and it is something that's worth the investment.

Here's another vote for the Polar F6!

I received one for my birthday last November and I really love it.
