Wink Yet another soon-to-be ex-fattie!

Hello everybody!

Well, like most of you here, I've been battling with my weight for years now - and losing miserably, I'm sorry to say.

So a few months ago, I decided for the umpteenth time to take this fight more seriously. In one corner : 190 pounds of fat. In the other : a 5'7 girl, her treadmill and a bunch of veggies. The fight was going in my favour for a while : I managed to lose about 15 pounds. But then, the winds turned. I hurt my knee and could no longer jog on the treadmill every day (or rather, attempt to jog, red in the face and gasping for breath).

And with that, my motivation went out the door. I started indulging my sweet tooth again (oh, the shame!) The pounds stopped dropping completely.

By some miracle, I haven't gained back any of it yet, but I know it's only a matter of time if I don't get my act together. Since the lure of nutella-slathered croissants is too strong a temptation to resist on my own, I thought I should seek reinforcements. A forum full of fellow soon-to-be ex-fatties, always ready to scold me if I slip up should make me think twice before indulging again, wouldn't you agree?

And sharing weightloss stories with others is bound to be motivating (and more than likely entertaining! Anybody else for a "PMS-bloating and the evil, evil scale" rant?)

Hope to get to know all of you better in the forums!
Cheers!
-Cara

Hey Cara!

You'll find those PMS-bloating and the evil scale rants around here regularly!
And you can find lots of support for injuries, drama, and other weight loss barriers.

We have groups by age range, amount to lose, and eating plan, so look around, find a spot or several, and settle in.

I can't wait to get to know you better! Keep posting!

Hi Cara

Congratulations on keeping off the pounds you've already dropped. That's just amazing Seriously, that's a difficult thing to do (just ask our maintainers!).

Take your time, look around, you'll find someplace comfortable to post.

Best of success!!!
