Hello ladies!! I am going to start eating healthy and exercising regularly starting Jan 2nd. I know a lot of people say just do it now instead of letting yourself gain the holiday weight... however I know myself and I have done best when given a start date like this. Jan 2, 2007 I began dieting using Womans Day diet and by Feb 25 I had lost 21 lbs taking me to 141. I never felt more full or more healthy. I got pregnant with my daughter a few weeks later and although the first couple months I did well I let the pregnancy excuse over take me! I dieted after her and when she was 5 months old I weighed 139. I let go of myself and never had good motivation or routine again. I weighed myself earlier today fully clothed and middle of the day just for an idea of how much I've gained. It showed me at 152. I would love to be 125-130 and to stick at that weight. When I lost weight successfully before I met a couple ladies on WD forum and we emailed daily. It was nice to have somebody to hold me accountable. We would email our daily food log as well as exercise routine and anything that was hindering our weight loss. Since I didn't know them IRL I felt it easy to be honest and truthful about it all and I think I did well because of them. Anyways hello again!!!
You might want to check out the "Featherweights" forum, for those with less to lose than others. We also have forums by eating plan, by age range...so look around and settle in.
You have to do what will work for you. Remembering that this isn't a diet, it's a new way of life. It's what our maintainers do in order to stay at the weight they're at.
There are a lot of groups around here that post notes to eachother daily. Take a look around & post wherever you feel comfortable.
