I started my diet
on Thanksgiving day. I have totally cut out caffeine and sodas; my only beverages are water and a little milk and Crystal Light. I have also of course greatly decreased my calories, removed processed foods (for the most part) added more whole grains, fresh veggies/fruit etc etc...
I woke up this morning and the scale showed my first ten pounds lost. I was totally psyched. Finally! Weight loss in the double digits which is awesome because I've never lost a single pound unless I was deathly sick.
Everyone knows this time of year is totally crappy for eating healthy and staying OP. Yesterday someone brought a tray full of cookies and walnut fudge and I LOVE fudge. I resisted and didn't even have a nibble. Instead I had my usual afternoon snack of carrots and some light ranch.
This morning is their monthly birthday breakfast celebration and they had donuts, peanut butter chocolate bars, sausage balls, egg cheese sausage casserole the whole nine yards. I stayed in my office and didn't have a bite.
It gives me hope that I can actually succeed and get down to a healthy weight. I can't wait for the next ten pounds to come off.
