Default Finally found self discipline

I started my diet on Thanksgiving day. I have totally cut out caffeine and sodas; my only beverages are water and a little milk and Crystal Light. I have also of course greatly decreased my calories, removed processed foods (for the most part) added more whole grains, fresh veggies/fruit etc etc...

I woke up this morning and the scale showed my first ten pounds lost. I was totally psyched. Finally! Weight loss in the double digits which is awesome because I've never lost a single pound unless I was deathly sick.

Everyone knows this time of year is totally crappy for eating healthy and staying OP. Yesterday someone brought a tray full of cookies and walnut fudge and I LOVE fudge. I resisted and didn't even have a nibble. Instead I had my usual afternoon snack of carrots and some light ranch.

This morning is their monthly birthday breakfast celebration and they had donuts, peanut butter chocolate bars, sausage balls, egg cheese sausage casserole the whole nine yards. I stayed in my office and didn't have a bite.

It gives me hope that I can actually succeed and get down to a healthy weight. I can't wait for the next ten pounds to come off.

Sorry for the long post I'm just so excited!

Yeah. I started doing 30DS and walking and I have my elliptical. I'd like to built my strength and stamina back up to running like I did oh so many years ago.

I am on a quest this weekend to find a good sports bra to lock and load all the goodies.

Also at the beginning of January I'm joining up again with the school rec center since it's only $150 a year. Only bad part is I can really only go at 6 am and I am totally not a morning person. But this will also provide access to the aquatic center for my son and he loves water.

Good for you!!

I got this awesome sports bra- I'll have to find out what specific kind it is and I'll put it here for you- it is the only thing that makes my huge old d-cups feel locked and loaded and ready to shed some pounds!

I think I did as well. For about 5 maybe 6 days now. It's like junk food isn't even an option. I don't crave it because in my mind it's not an option. I've felt like this only once before and that was when I was 13 and 190lbs. I lost 40lbs over 4 -5 months. So hopefully I do as good this time, because I feel determined like I did before. I love this kind of determination. I've been working out too! I did 100 sit ups yesterday and 25 reverse sit ups. I've been walking around and things like that, going up and down stairs happily. Anything active, I've been so happy to do it. I love this mind set.

So happy for you! I could seriously use some self discipline lately..I find all the temptations so difficult and easy to give into
