such a weird day. i'm just not hungry. at all. i had breakfast, two smart ones stuffed breakfast sandwiches (normally, one, but today two). during our morning toddler group we made puppy chow and i ate a little bit. then we had lunch. i was not hungry at all. i MADE myself eat a piece of string cheese and a 100 calorie bag of cheez-its. afternoon toddler group, more puppy chow, not a lot though. still not hungry. i've drank the same amount of water today as i usually do. nothing has changed in my day. a normal day? breakfast, mid-morning snack of fruit, lunch, afternoon snack of fruit and cheese, getting home before working out snack, and then dinner. i realize i'm still early for dinner, but usually by now everything else has been eaten. it's just weird. i don't want to eat if i'm not hungry, but if i don't eat i'm not giving my body what it needs. what do you do? do you ever have days like this??
I have these days every once in a while. Some days are 'normal' and some days i could go all day w/o eating and others i feel like i am a bottomless pit. I have no explination for it but as long as its only for a day its not gunna hurt your body if you are under calories or points or whatever. Eat something little just so you know your body was fed and hopefully tomorrow you will be back to normal. As long as you dont do this days at a time it wont harm you
Hey, if I am not hungry I am gonna "clip my coupon" and not worry about eating. No way will I force myself to eat! I haven't read the book but I wonder if this isn't what Intuitive Eating is all about. I do have days when my appetite is small and I might eat 8-900 calories for the day. But the following day I usually go way up on the calories--maybe 2000.
yeah honestly, i wouldn't really worry about giving your body what it needs. i mean one day out of the lot of not eating isn't going to kill you, or starve you to be honest. dont even sweat it.
I have days where I don't eat too. Personally I don't like them because then later in the day my blood sugar crashes and I turn into a b*tch and start getting cranky adn weepy...I know it's sad that food can do that to me but it totally can. I try to just eat my meals because I hate reaching my low blood sugar cranky weepy stage.
I wouldn't worry about starving yourself because I'm sure if it's one day you will be fine. I understand not wanting to eat if you are not hungry but I would still try to give your body some calories for the day.
Oh I also wanted to comment about you having puppy chow. I love puppy chow and when I moved to NY (I'm originally from NW Ohio) and made it and told ppl what it was called they looked at me like I had a horn coming out of my head. No one had ever had it or even heard of it. I now make it every Christmas and everyone looks forward to it...lol.
Melt butter, chocolate and peanut butter. Take that mixture and cover corn chex (or rice chex...whatever you want) with it. Then take powdered sugar and cover that....super tasty and super addictive!!!

it is the best stuff ever!! so yummy! yea, so i pretty much forced myself to eat a little bit of dinner around 5 so that i wouldn't be starving right now or in the morning. i'm not going to worry about it, it was just weird to not be hungry at all!
oh sweet jesus, that puppy chow stuff is mighty tasty. i didn't know what it was til last year. someone made it and brought it to the job. maybe it was during xmas time. is it a xmas thing?? i have no idea.
