Default For Real This Time

Hey everyone! I stumbled onto 3fc, and I have to say, it's already motivated me.

I'm 5'6", my 'normal' was always 160-170. Never the thinnest gal in the room, but always around the 10-12 size area, and content with who I was.

Well, about two years ago, I started gaining weight. There were many factors - I have polycystic ovary syndrome, I quit smoking, I got 'comfortable' in a relationship - but they all led to me where I am now - 210, a size 18, and really unhappy with where I am.

So here I go. For real this time. It's time for balanced meals, no empty snacking, and working out. Yesterday, my dog and I went on a 30 minute run. And again today. Of course though, the first week is never the tricky part. It's the next week. And the next one. And the changing my life to be someone who wants to get up and go.

My goal is back to my 'normal', and then I'll re-evaluate. I plan on children in the next two years, and I want to be at my healithiest weight before I do that.

That's where 3fc comes in - I know me, and motivation and people in the exact same boat is what is going to keep me on track.

Wish me luck!

Hi Jessi!

You've got it right. It's the "keep going" part that we all need a friendly group to help us along with. So here's the friend group

We've got some support groups based on age, there's a PCOS area under Dieting with Obstacles, there's an Exercise area if you want to talk about running, and all sorts of other places.

Take your time, post wherever you're comfortable and let us all get to know you better.

Best of success!

Hey Jessi,

As Faerie said, we do have a PCOS area in the "Dieting with Obstacles" forum. I also have PCOS, and can struggle with what it means for me weight wise. You're definitely not alone in that issue!

We also have groups by age range and eating plan, so look around. You're sure to find a spot where you fit right in.

Can't wait to get to know you better! Stick around!
