Default Merry Monday!

I'm shakin' and movin' this morning, baby it's cold outside! We could hear the wind blowing and howling all night long. Brrrrrrr!

I'm off for a cut and color first thing, have to do some banking, then getting to Cindy's in time to meet the school bus. I have to check, but I think Audrey has her father/daughter dance at cotillion this evening, so I may be able to come on home a bit earlier than usual.

I know Ruth will probably laugh at me but it's 8 degrees here! How the heck can it be 8 degrees??!!! It's been warm enough to walk outside all week and now this. I don't think I can go outside. I wonder if I can call in, well I was going to say frigid but...

Cottage - Good luck out there. and early night would be nice

It's a normal work day here with yoga at the end to make things a little more hectic. I ran the crock pot all weekend (including the end of last week) so we have lots of yummy food for the week.

Have a good day and stay warm if you can

You have me beat, CYNDI. Now that's COLD! Bundle up in layers and try to stay warm. At least shivering burns off calories, so I hear!

I'm laughing at both of you because it's -6ºF here in the Great White North. It's just a tad nippy but will get worse. Coffee helps. Today is supposed to be sunny before we get another dump of snow and more moderate temps.

Cottage and I will both be "on the road" today. I went to wear my new winter coat yesterday and discovered the sales girl gave me the wrong size! The coat I tried on wasn't tagged so she took another one to the scanner and I ended up with the small coat by mistake. I'm hoping "mine" is still there when I get there today. (I vowed not to go to a shopping centre until January but....)

Yesterday my new sewing machine and I bonded and got lots of odds and ends of alterations done. Today we'll cement our relationship with some quilting.

Merry Monday to us all!

OK, I'm cold and it's not anywhere near as cold as where the rest of you are. 34 right now, but a "Wintery Mix" of freezing rain and sleet before 10am. It makes me wonder.... if it's 34, how is anything freezing? Especially when the low is 40 and the high is 47? 47 will feel like a heat wave!

Just getting some Mary Kay done before I have to work today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning

Cottage, Cyndi and Ruth stay warm out there. I feel bad for complaining about 20 degrees yesterday but I was freezing. LOL

Car was iced over this morning but made it to work safely it is going to warm up though.

Not much going on today other than work.

Have a good day ladies.

Good morning chicks! It's a cold one here as well but no where near what you guys are gettin. Bundle up and stay warm.

Update from last week - I took the preg test and it was negative so I am thinkin my feelings and such are just due to the holidays and the missing family members. The good news is that DH and I have decided to put a full effort into conceiving especially since neither one of us are getting any younger and after being together 8 years it would be a nice addition. No we are not in a hurry as we know it will only come in God time but we will try and will continue to pray.

Thanks you for your good thoughts, vibes and prayers

It's pretty nasty out right now, we are getting a freezing rain and the schools all just went from a delay to closed. I didn't enjoy the drive to work since you couldn't tell if the roads were wet or icy so just played it safe a drove slow.

Made christmas cookies this weekend and something that used to bring me lots of joy has ticked me off. DD said her friends loved them and she went to take more and DH yelled at her telling her we weren't feeding the whole neighborhood! I called him a scrooge and now he is mad at me. MEN!

DS comes home from college Weds, of course that means mom has to go get him. He sent me his christmas list yesterday, I think it is about time to set the "kids" down and tell them they are getting older and the days of a loaded christmas tree are about to end!

Hope you all have a great day!

As one of my dear friends once said, "Once you get past a certain point, it doesn't matter what the temperature is--it's all cold! " Brrr...

However, it's nice and dry here, so I really can't complain. So sorry so many of you are dealing with ice! I hate that stuff. Stay safe!

I had a great weekend, but didn't get nearly enough done. I'm exhausted from staying up until 2 to try to get the cookies done that I forgot I had to do on Saturday...and I'm SO behind. I can't figure out where I can borrow some more time. If any of you figure it out, let me know, 'kay?

We have no more room in the freezer and I have a lot of appetizers for this weekend's party that need to fit. Consequently, we're going to be eating a lot of frozen leftovers this week!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Monday chicks, I am ready to plunge into what promises to be another busy week. We had a nice weekend, DD had lots of activities and parties, and she was in the town Christmas parade Saturday night. DS started not feeling well Saturday evening, and I think he's got strep, so we'll get him in for a throat culture today. DD has dance class after school. At least I've got beef stew going in the crockpot for dinner.

I have been hanging on by my fingernails lately and I finally made myself weigh, which I have been cleverly avoiding, since if I don't see it on the scale, it can't be so, right? I have gained a few pounds back, hopefully some of that is water, but it's just a bit and will be easy to turn around if I can get my focus back. I'm going to wait a few days before I change my ticker - maybe I won't have to.

My close friend called last night after spending the day at Urgent Care. She has had a very stressful year, is carrying at least as much weight as I used to, and she's been having some health issues lately, self diagnosing and self treating and it's had me worried. She had such a miserable night and was so swollen that she got herself to a doctor yesterday, and she's got fluid in her lungs, which is what I was worried about. She'll be seeing a cardiologist this week. I'm so relieved she's going to see someone. She's got three young kids that need her.

Stay warm Northern chicks! Hope you get that coat Ruth, you need it. Cold here too, we've been getting mixed precip all weekend and the roads have not been good.
Steph, I agree, half the fun of Christmas baking is in the sharing! Plus it keeps the cookies from hanging around the house too long.
Gonna, I'm sorry your test did not turn out the way you hoped. Sounds like you are okay with it, and I'm sure it will happen for you when the time is right. Have fun in the "full effort"!
Have a great day Pearl!

Morning girls. I didn't get hardly a wink of sleep last night. DS is scared of monsters and spent the night in our bed. With his cold, he was snoring a LOT and I just drifted in and out of sleep for 6 hours. I'm so tired this morning.

I'm starting to plan my re-introduction to on plan South Beach - any suggestions? I'm going to be breast feeding. I think I'm going to need some help getting started - I feel lost.

G'morning Ladies... today is going to be nice here- yesterday was pretty cold though!(though not as cold as some of you gals have it!) We were at the titans game freezing! But it was lots of fun and we came home and made some HOT beer cheese soup. yum. ok, enough with making myself drool. back on plan today. I have been MIA for a bit, well, the IA part is not really true either... oh well... moving on...

Cottage and Ruth- stay safe on the road, cottage enjoy your hair appointment! and ruth gl on getting the right jacket~

Cyndi- what time should I be over for dinner?! lol Sounds like you are really planning ahead! My severe lack of planning has left us eating whatever whenever- and I have to get out of that mode of thinking!

Weezle- I don't understand that wintery mix stuff either, but I do know it will sleet here as well sometimes when its like 40 out- of course nothing sticks but it still doesn't make sense!

Pearl- don't work too hard!

Gonna be- I will keep you in my prayers

Pacer- I enjoy baking cookies too, I made some this weekend and had to endulge a few times! I think its great she is sharing with the neighborhood

beachgal- sounds like you may need a bigger freezer!

schmoodle- I have been avoiding the scale too- so easy to pretend it doesn't exist! lol

Zeff- try to catch up with a nap today if you can!

We went to the titans game sunday and on Saturday some froends from NC came through and we went to dinner with them and visited for a while. It was a lot of fun... busy weekend but the house has pretty much stayed in order, I have the washers going and need to get to the grocery and to recycle today... HOpefully some time with the wii fit as well... I like it till it tells me i am fat! lol. its still cute though!

The more that this cold drags on in my family, the more tempted I am to call my SIL and yell at her for being insensitive and bringing her sick kids around. I don't think I've ever literally been up to my elbows in snot until this morning.

ugh. I need a hot shower.

Hey everyone. I'm back in town.

Barb: Apologies many times over for not getting in touch with you. Internet access ended up being a bigger hurdle than I'd thought and I was also dealing with some strange stuff while we were away.

Me: Not much here. Just going through some sickening emotional stuff right now. Can't wrap my head around what's going on with me. DH is extremely worried, but I'm praying that it will subside soon. If not, I'll make an appt. with a counselor soon. This isn't something that can continue for long.

Hope everyone else is doing well. I will do my best to catch up soon, I'm sure I missed a lot.

Zeffryn: I hope you and yours feel better soon!

~Kim

Hope everything's okay Kim!
And zeff, when you have kids it always seems you are drowning in something gross, doesn't it? Feel better soon.
