Default Hello, New member hoping for a new body...

Hi, I'm Natalie , a 22 year old uni student here in Vancouver , Canada.

I am 161 lbs at the moment, hoping to get down to 140 lbs by July next year.

my back story- I have never been a tiny girl, always hovering around 150 lbs, which i have usually bee happy with. When I was 11 I fell off a 100 foot clif, and as a result have hemiplegia( Hemiplegia is a condition in which one-half of a patient's body is paralyzed). My case is not super extreme, however I walk with a limp, and can't really run or play sports.

To make matters worse, in 2006 my mum was diagnost with Inflamitory Breast cancer, a mainly terminal type of breast cancer. I fell into depression, and when my mum passed away this march, I just went into hiding, not working out, not wanting to cook, so i relied on take out , or frozen meals.

I hid my scale , but now looking at photos , I'm guessing I got up to the hight 180's this summer.
I started slowly easing back into healthy eating this late september and have lost 14 lbs so far. I am now starting to work out again , and am hoping that I can keep going.

anyways Totally babbled on, but just wanted to say that I'm excited to use the forum!

Good to meet you Natalie,
My name is Rose and my mother is very sick. I almost didn't start my ww meetings last week because of this. But I know she would want me to eat healthy and take care of myself and she may get some joy from seeing me get thinner. You are such an inspiration to me and congrats on the 14 lb weight loss! Thank you for sharing your story.

Hi Natalie. I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

You might consider our "20-somethings" forum, for those in their twenties, or any of our forums by eating plan.

Look around - there's sure to be a perfect spot for you to settle into. Can't wait to get to know you better!
