pumped to start over
Hey there, Im new to all of this but I'm looking forward to it. For starters, I have never weighed over 115 lbs (I'm 5'7") until 5 years ago. This was the time I began working at a real artisan bakery, and also at a place dubbed "the finest restaurant on the east coast" voted by savor magazine. Also, my then boyfriend (now fiancee) has always had an immaculate way with food (he's a chef). Thusly, I found a new world in it. I discovered different flavors and I was surrounded by it-always. Do you know how hard it is to deny a fresh from the oven artisan danish with fresh rasberries and a cup of rich hazelnut java every morning? well, it's damn hard, which is why I gained 20 lbs in the first month of employment.
Anyway, with my new found love of the food I also found comfort. I find myself wanting food when it's cold out, wanting to buy a large mocha latte just because I'm strolling past a coffee shop.
I am currently @ 130 lbs, but I am NOT COMFORTABLE
I am always trying to hide my belly pooch, and I hate it when my fiancee puts his arm around my belly. I hate myself for this because I'm miserable which affects my relationships, Im always cranky b/c I feel sloppy.
I'm the type of person that is in need of constant chage and stimulation, which is probably why I adore food. (constant change of tastes/experiences with dining out, etc..)
So, I hope this board helps me get motivated and stay motivated. Starting today, I will be posting progress pictures and regaling all with my eating plans and excercise regimen, let's see what I can do!
