Talking First CC Weigh in!

It's been a week ago today i started my CC 'diet.'

I have been walking 1.5mi every night at 3mph.

And I weighed in about 5 minutes ago.

Started CC last friday morning at 211lbs.

I am now 204.

Tomorrow, I begin a new regimen:

Wii Fit Yoga after breakfast.(20mins)

This Exercise video I bought from walmart(20mins) (10 Minute Solutions or something like that) along with 10 minutes of jump rope.

And my 1.5mi after dinner. (takes 30mins)

If that sounds like too much exercise, please someone let me know. Until then i'm going to push myself.

My results are incredible so far.
I couldnt be happier.

<32all.

WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the good work.ITs a huge motivator right?

IMO you dont need to work out with that much cardio. Maybe you could add some weights in there and be good to go. In a few weeks I would try to bump it up in speed and time but im not sure how long it takes you to walk that. I think most ppl on here do at least 30m of cardio and some kind of weight lifting but I cant speak for everyone. Hopefully more will chime in.

But good job on the WL so far

That's amazing!!! I agree with eilla05 that you need to add some weights instead of more cardio. Maybe aim to do it 30 minutes 3 times a week?

Congratulations! That first burst of big weight loss always feels fantastic...and carries you through the slightly slower (but no less satisfactory...) weeks to come.

I am, however, with the strength/resistance training bunch. You don't have to join a gym or spend a lot of money to do it. You can do exercises with just your own body weight like push-ups/wall push-ups, crunches, squats, lunges, leg lifts, etc., etc. and for about $20 you can get a set of three resistance bands from a place like Target...or get individual ones at a fitness store (This is what I use...I like the ones with handles and a door attachment for doing chest press and rowing exercises). The bands come with instructions and there are a number of sites on the internet with example workouts.

The resistance training will raise your metabolism 24/7 not just during the exercise itself like cardio does, and it will also give you a really nice "long, lean" look to your body...also you can be "smaller" even if you weigh more because lean muscle mass is heavy. While cardio is important (I do 45 minutes 6 days a week), I also do the resistance training three days a week.
