Default 'Tis Talking Thursday!

Good Morning all...

Zeff, sorry about your cousin's twins! How dreadful!

The girl I asked to let the puppy's out had a hard time. She finally came yesterday, then came last night to report Jade wasn't going to let her bring her outside. Jade's only seen her about three times, so it's good to know Jade is protective of my house while I'm away. Stacey thought Jade might bite her so I told Stacey I can't take that chance and to not worry about it. I just thought it'd be better for the dogs to be let out during the day for some relief. Guess they'll have to hold it. .

It's now five, got laundry in dryer, dishes in dishwasher ( I only use that once a month at the most, but been so exhausted this week I'm using it!) and about to take the dogs for a morning walk.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Happy Thursday morning!

Thanks for starting us up again, Loriann. I've been up, but busy getting laundry started and a few other niggles out of the way. I hope your doggage doesn't get themselves in any trouble during the day, I have a vision of them waiting for you at the end of the day with their legs crossed!

I have an afternoon of crafting planned for Maggie today. Just some little things to hang up on the playroom walls. Yesterday at gymnastics, Audrey won a trophy for doing a perfect split. Of course, Maggie was a little jealous and resentful, and it took a lot of consoling and explaining to her this is just her first year of gymnastics, whereas Audrey's had 2 years experience. So both girls spent the rest of the evening practicing splits. Maggie's a pretty determined little girl. Their school is having a fundraiser right now, and I got some really great stocking-stuffers for Amber. She's going to love them!
I was trying to order something from Caitlyn's wishlist yesterday, and got so frustrated! The site says free shipping, but an $8 charge kept coming out in the checkout. I didn't complete the order, but in the meantime it was removed from her wishlist. Now, what do I do? I tried calling the store, but no luck there.

Good morning Chicks

Lori- It's nice to know Jade is looking out for you even if she gets less exercise.

Cottage - an afternoon of crafts sounds like fun. I thought online shopping was supposed to be easier!

Zeff - So sorry to hear about the twins

We're off to the hospital in a few for DPs next (and hopefully last) surgery. Last time we were there I kept seeing a public Wifi thing but couldn't get on. Of course I'll try again
I've got bean chorizo stew in the crockpot so we will come home to warm, yummy food. All that planning stuff is useful

Have a good day everyone

Cyndi, I'll be thinking of you and DP all day today. Let us know how it goes, OK? (You've got me hankering for that stew again!)

Quickie as I need to lug garbage to the road. We still don't have our cold and snowy weather. It's 43ºF out there right now but we will get rain. Wet paw day coming up!
Donna comes to clean this morning and a reporter from the local paper will be here this afternoon to interview Disney! She wants to do a human interest story around Christmas week. I told D. to be careful what she says. Darn paparazzi!

Sorry to hear about the dogwalker, Loriann. Any chance of getting Jade used to someone so she is more willing to be walked?

Sorry about the cyber frustration, Cottage! That kind of thing has happened to me before. I was working on an order of labels for my holiday cards earlier. I kept trying to apply a different coupon to the order, but it would only use the one I'd first tried which had a much lower discount. I gave up, and when I came back the next day, a totally different discount had been applied that was even better--so I just grabbed it then and there! I have no idea how those things work, but sometimes you just wish you could deal with a real person, eh? I'd call them, just in case the thing got removed from the wishlist (was it on Amazon?) because of what you were doing. It makes no sense, but neither do the things computers do sometimes! Too funny that little Maggie is so competitive. Glad she put her frustration to work!

Dinner sounds divine, Cyndi! Who's DP? (I feel dense, but can't figure out the P) Hope the surgery goes really well. The WiFi thing in hospitals is such a comfort--it really allows you to stay in touch with those you love.

Ruth, good thing Disney has you there to whisper in her ear if she starts saying anything untoward. I hear those small-town reporters are especially vicious!

Me:
I'm really looking forward to seeing America the Beautiful tonight. There's a lot of things that need to get done at home, and balancing it all is pretty crazy, so I'm trying not to feel guilty for going.

I'm trying to fit meditating in my schedule to relieve some of my stress. I spent some time listening to a podcast on how to meditate yesterday. I've never been very good at it, but I'm willing to keep trying.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Chilly Morning Chicks! After a warm and rainy day yesterday it is 20 this morning and everything is froze, including my car doors. I had to go help the penguin blowup in my yard this morning as the poor little buggers were froze to the ground.

Two clean eating days under my belt.....do I hear 3??? DH made some peanut butter fudge over the weekend and I found my hand in it while cooking dinner lastnight and promptly removed it......crisis averted, shew!

Cyndi prayers for DP today, hope all goes well.

Zeff so sorry to hear about your cousin and hope all goes well today with potty training!

Another busy day today but I think I might see the light at the end of the tunnel! Have to run out to Wally World at some point, we have only had cell phones and no house phone for over 2 years now but reception in the new house is horrible, home phone getting hooked up today, just one problem, I don't have a phone! LOL

Have a great day ladies!

Good morning all!
Again I've got a busy day ahead of me. I'm being held hostage in four IEP's today. It simply stinks because there is so much that needs to get done when the students are here that sitting in meetings all day does not help me at all!!! And then tonight we're headed to a restaurant's Grand Opening. Rich is doing the write up on it. At least I don't have to cook.

Lori - Sorry about the dog walker......here's hoping the dogs can handle it.

Cottage - Good job maintaining peace in the home yesterday!!!

Cyndi - Sending prayers and well wishes your way today. I hope all goes well.

Ruth - Your little Disney is quickly becoming a star. I think the article sounds fun. I'm sure we'd all love to read it when it's done.

Pearlrose - Enjoy your day at home!

Beachgal - Finding time to meditate is really hard for me as well. I find that there's so much to do.....and when I meditate, my mind is all over the place. It's something I should work on.

Have a great Thursday, ladies!!
BLESSINGS!

Lori - could you have the girl over while you are home a few times just to acclimate them?

Cyndi - good luck to DP - let us know how it turns out.

Laurie - I've tried meditation, it worked until I had kids....

-
I'm so glad this week is almost over.

DH found out that the part that the mechanic had ordered to fix his car was broken and it will take another week to get the car back. *eyeroll*

I've been wanting to get to the laundromat to wash our comforters, but no car until dinner time means that I just haven't had the time. DH suggested that I just take him to school this afternoon and do it then - maybe I'll take him up on that.

Landlord is supposed to come today to fix a leaky sink and look at some tiles that need to be re-grouted. He already came about a month ago to "look" at the same tiles...I wish he would stop looking at them already and just get to fixing them. With the time dwindling before baby comes, I wince when I think of the landlord coming the week after the baby comes to fix the flooring! I just want it done now, he has had two months to fix this stuff!

ETA: I forgot that I had to start potty training this morning! AH!!!

Mornin chicks

I'm thinkin I may need to take a pregnancy test seems things are a bit weird for me and it starts with my 2 day totally not normal period. Pharmacist said it's best to take it firstthing in the morning so I plan on doing it first thing tomorrow.

Any thoughts would be great

Hope to be out of this fog real soon

Gonna, you have your period but it's not normal? I'm confused, I guess, why you'd think you were pregnant if it's you got your period. Hope everything works out--but please check with a doc if you aren't sure what's going on after the test.

Just buzzing in with a quick hey.
Went to go leave for the gym this morning at quarter to five and discovered I had a flat tire and it was raining. great.
So I got online and got a sub for my class and put my living/dining room back together and low and behold my husband came home right before I was going to call a garage. He told his supervisor about the car and she told him to just go home and take the rest of the day off (he has about a zillion days accumulated) So, car is fixed, living room is all fixed again after the painting and we have the rest of this rainy day to do nothing. ..

You never know what good may come of something bad, right?
