Default Newbie

I'm a newbie to Calorie Counters, so I wanted to say Hi!

It's been about a year/9 months since I've been on 3FC. When I started in early 2007, I was really getting into the weight lifting thing in anticipation of the Big 4-0. It worked and I was in really good shape.

My undoing came from a combination of things: serious work/stress eating and workout boredom. Once I started gaining, then I got really depressed and that just killed me.

It's been a hard summer/fall, in particular. So, here I am again looking for a healthy lifelong approach.

Nice to meet y'all.

I'm in the same boat. Boredom has not helped my waistline and I'm just starting out on calorie counting. I've also just ordered a little book to plan my menus. My husband does the majority of our dinner cooking and he likes the planning idea.

Good luck to you! I hope to hear some good results very soon.

Hi Thinnerinnerme.

My husband does the cooking too. That is another worry of mine with calorie counting. Without any malicious intent, he can get heavy handed with the olive oil without thinking about it. The food is always excellent, but I know something's wrong when the scale starts climbing and I don't think I've overdone anything.

Good luck to you too!
