Hi. My name is Tracie, and I just joined a few minutes ago. Several years ago I lost 120 pounds, most of which I have regained. I saw some 'skinny' pics of myself today, and became disgusted with what has happened. I am watching a program about genetics and obesity. They say genetics contributes about 40%. The problem I have with that is that I did it before, I can do it again. I am just looking for some support this time.
Losing weight is hard enough. Losing weight the second time around is even worse, because you know that you've already done it. I lost 90-some pounds between 2005 and 2006, and then I gained almost 70 of it back, so I know what it's like. That said, YOU CAN DO IT!
Best of luck to you, and welcome. The support you'll find here is truly a blessing.
I know that it's possible for you to do it again. I would recommend talking to a doctor/nutritionist/councilor (whoever you're most comfortable with) to find a plan that will not only help you lose the weight, but to maintain a healthy weight, too.
