"I don't think I can do it." "I can't stop eating sweets."
That's the first thing I would work on if I were you. You have to first believe that you CAN make positive changes in your life, and become healthier and happier. You have to believe that you deserve all the hard work that it will take (especially in the beginning). It's hard having a boyfriend who is smaller than you. (I know, I'm 5'2" and 160 pounds and he's 5'7" and ~120, all muscle, bleh!).
Even if your boyfriend isn't wanting to help you right now, he might once he sees that you are trying. He might not have seen it as a serious thing, but that can change! Even if it doesn't, ultimately you will be the only one you can count on, because you're the one that decides what you put in your mouth and how much.
Just try not go get too overwhelmed with the big picture at first, especially if you don't think you have much determination to be healthy. First, try eliminating the soda. You can do this little by little, just cutting back a little more each day or each week. I used to drink 64 oz of Dr Pepper a day with turned out to be something like 800 extra calories a day. Just a small thing like that will help immensely.
Just try to take it one step at a time. Good luck!
