Fit for Life
Bear with me, I'm new to this, but I do have experience with Fit for Life. I followed the program when I was 39 and pregnant with my 5th child. I had great results and felt great too. My doctor was concerned that perhaps I was not eating enough because there were weeks when I just wasn't putting on weight. What was happening was that the Baby was gaining weight just fine and I was losing. And I was actually eating tons of food. It was not unusual for me to eat 4 slices of toast with jelly (no butter) at one sitting. I ate lots of fruit. So much that after delivery I had no bruising anywhere on my body from IV's or other stuff thanks to all the vitamin C I was getting in the fruit. I also had NONE of the indigestion that plaqued my 4th pregnancy (I call her my Maalox baby).
Fit for Life is FOOD COMBINING, which is the same program Suzanne Sommers and Mary Lou Henner are known for. Also similar to Atkins. Simply, carbohydrates and proteins are not eaten at the same meal. Because of that meal choices are simple to make and you eat more veggies.
For instance, a typical restaurant meal of fish, salad, bread, baked potato, and veggies. You decide what you really want, carbs or protein. I would probably go for fish, which means I would also have salad and veggies, NO potato or bread at this meal. What happens is that you naturally eat more veggies.
I recommend it because it's not difficult to adapt to your lifestyle, does not eliminate any food group, and you will see results in digestion, weight control, and energy levels.
Hope this helps. Best advice, try it for 1-2 weeks, I think you will like it.
