Default What is calorie cycling?

I've seen it mentioned in a couple threads.

What is it?
What is it supposed to do/help with?
Pros and cons?

I'm learning a lot here and everyone's stories are so inspiring!

aka the WW Wendie method, supposedly your calories should vary so your body doesn't get used to the amount you are eating & therefore your metabolism doesn't stop at a set rate, because it doesn't know what to expect next.

Never done it, heard a lot about it.

I am doing it and I would recommend it. I have had success using this. Naturally, there are days I am plain hungrier than others and there are other days food just doesn't appeal to me as it does at other times. I have read of some people only going up and down each day by 100 calories or so. Mine is more drastic than that.

What she said...LOL

I guess I do it. I have 1200 calories on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and then 1500 calories on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I didn't do it for any reason except, I tend to eat more on weekends so I decided to give myself a treat...it works for me.
