Default new and wanted to loss 4 good

Hello

I have diet and lost many times. Just to gain it back. The this time was a little different because I didn't wait to gain it all back to start again. I think that I have put 35 pounds of the 55 I lost back on. I have been dieting again for a little over two weeks. I decided to not weight myself because I was afraid that it would be too upsetting. I have cut my calories to about 1000 a day and have been exercising 6 times a week. But I have had very strong cravings today. I'm looking forward to meet people with food struggles like me. Any help will be very appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome!!

Congrats on the loss so far and being so determined in your weight loss! But, why are you eating 1000 calories?!? My goodness, girl, this is very dangerous, especially with all the exercising you're doing. Are you recording what you eat? Are you sure you're eating 1000? What's your weight?

I think my weight is around 180. I have not been writing my food down. I have been trying to cut back on carbs. I think I may be a carb addict. So I have cut those really back. Tomorrow I will write everything down. How many calories should a woman trying to loss weight eat in a day? Thanks

Well, it depends. You should really never dip below 1200 though. If you do your body will start burning muscle, which will cause you to look very sickly and be very unhealthy. It causes damage on your organs and especially your heart.
Enter your stats in several calorie calculators to get a general idea of where you should be. With your activity level and weight I would guess 1400-1600 would be a good start.
I really really really recommend writing your calories down. We have such a skewed perception of what we actually eat. Check out FitDay.com or DailyPlate.com. These are extremely helpful sites for tracking calories.

I totally feel your pain about carbs. I am SUCH an addict, too!
I hope this helps. Check out other threads and feel free to ask lots of questions. There is sooo much wisdom on this site.
