Default YOU: On a Diet - November chatter

Happy November gals! And Happy Election Day for the Americans!

Sorry I've not been around much - on top of my obsessions with other things, I've had a lot of stress in my life - there is the potential that I could be laid off from my job in December, and I found out last week that my Mom needs a triple bypass... soon.

I'm scared and worried about her, but also scared about what that history means for me. I've not worked out since early September, and I really need to be better about taking better care of myself. And I will - this is quite the wake-up call though!

So, how's everyone else doing? Anything new and exciting going on with you?

Drop and and let me know you're still around!
Cindy

Hi gals - my Mom's surgery is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday at the latest. So, I'll be heading to MI, kitten in tow, to be there for her, then will come back here next Wed or Thurs so I can leave on my cruise on Friday! What a week! Lot's of rushing around so then I can wait and see how things go with her. Needless to say, my stress level is pretty high - I have to pack tomorrow, for Friday's departure!

Things sure are quiet around here - where is everyone??? How are things going with you?

I haven't been getting emails, I guess because November is a new thread and I'm not subscribed. I've been very busy, too, and a little off track. Ready to get started again.
Sorry, about your Mother Cindy, and your job. Let's try to get in the swing again,

Hey everyone! I just found out I am insulin resistant. They are checking me out for adrenal gland function too. No white stuff and no artificial sweetner. Sound familiar? I am YOAD again full time!!!!! I made a deal with myself....no coffee until I drink a glass a water prior....so my water is up to where it needs to be and I have a new goal to sleep 8 hours a night. I hope I can make this last when I go back to work on Monday. I have been off for a week while we moved to a new leased home. The home we were in was foreclosed on......I guess the homeowner didn't make the mortgage payment with our monthly rent. We moved into a house with an inground pool so I see water aerobics next summer. Cindy....don't give up on us. We need to hang together and we need to find out how your momma's surgery went.

Nice to hear from you Kim. Your body is telling you what to do.

Sorry about your having to move, I've been hearing stories about renters suddenly being forced out by neglgent owners.

Well I'm just hoping to maintain after Thanksgiving. Have to have another injection in my knee. Let's try to get back into the swing, we were all doing so great for awhile.

Hi guys - thanks for the thoughts and prayers - my Mom made it through surgery well, had a rough first week, but now is doing much, much better. I can't believe that her surgery was 2 weeks ago today!

Sorry for not being in touch during our cruise - internet availability was not great, and I wasn't able to do much more than read my email, but sending it, or visiting sites was not working well at all!

We just got back yesterday, so I'm happy to have a short week to ease back into it. Work is still stressful - they have made it known that the layoffs will happen on 12/8, so until then everyone is on pins and needles until then - two whole weeks - I can't believe they are dragging it out like this!

Food on the cruise was too good, so I'll be buckling down today - try to keep things good until our Thanksgiving at least! DH and I are both unhappy with our weight right now, so there will be some definite effort to see some improvement by Christmas!
