Hi

I have some Sambazon acai powder in the fridge, I like to put it in my breakfast smoothies.

Does it work? I'll probably never know, but I sure hope so Acai is loaded with antioxidants which help protect against diseases such as cancer.

But it doesn't help weight loss. Some unethical marketers are using weight loss claims as a marketing gimmick to make sales, along with along line of other inaccurate and far-fetched claims about acai.

If you want to boost your antioxidants, acai is one way to do it. But some critics say it's not any better than other more affordable solutions such just getting a nice variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet.

hello suzanne,

i just read what you wrote in response to acai and after researching it, sadly i think you are correct because i too was considering it as a weight supplement&it seems like a scam....

I like the Sambazon smoothies I buy in the grocery here and I actually do think they are have an energizing effect (probably my imagination because acai is supposed to be healthy for me); at any rate, they are delicious fruity drinks with an undertaste of chocolate and no ingredients I don't want to ingest.

I didn't know Sambazon sold a powder, I've never thought about using acai as an ingredient. I will look for that.

Re weight loss, I'm not seeking a weight loss supplement but see no reason why acai should aid in that other than being filling and satisfying.

My husband just bought some Mona Vie Acai Juice for $45 (ouch!). I think I'll start it tomorrow.

Wow, that is expensive, bikini bod; did you like it?

I have been buying it for the taste. The products I've had are just delicious, like chocolate covered cherries.
