Tried to have my first fill yesterday, oh boy was that fun. Quick note to the group, if a doctor asks you if you want a local for the fill SAY YES, no scream YES. I was stupid and said.. Nah I'll be Ok, I don't like pain meds. Big mistake, As soon as the doc hit my stomach muscle and started digging around for the port I thought someone kicked me in the nuts. The short story is that I had to go in today and get my fill while getting a Floroscopy (type of xray) so the Doc could see the port. Totally painless and nice, even though the needle was the biggest thing I ever saw. So I'm 6.5CC into a 10CC band and feel good. Time will tell so we'll see.

Anyone else have similar experience?

Same experience as the nuts thing......Nope! lol! I've always been curious as to how the fill would be. I have bad veins and after about one or two pokes and digging, I'm done. So, you guys have my respect. Floroscope sounds good to me. Hope you are coping well with food issues and head issues. You men seem to have it over the women, because you are bigger muscled and burn cals. up easier. Thanks for the up-date.

I have seen it done but never had it done...doesn't look or sound like a pleasant thing. Never been kicked there obvisously but have taken a direct hit in the chest with a soft ball, I hear it's almost as bad as the male experience and therefore I say to you about the fill....Wow, Ouch! Though, I'm glad to hear that you can use the scope, less poking!

Ohhh sorry it hurt. I usually just close my eyes b/c the needle is just to close to my face for me to look at but it doesn't hurt LOL. I've never had a local. One time they stuck me 5 times... now that was not fun LOLOL Floro is good !!!!
