Flat belly diet??
Did anyone see this on the today show this morning? This new diet from the editors of prevention magazine (makes it seem reputable, huh?) Apparently there are 5 foods that help you lose belly fat - the diet calls them "MUFA's" and they are Monounsaturated fatty acids, plant-based fats. Canola oil, flaxseed oil, olive oil, peanut oil, pesto sauce, safflower oil, sesame oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil and walnut oil (serving = 1 TBSP.) Almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew butter, natural peanut butter, dry-roasted cashews, dry-roasted peanuts, dry-roasted sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, roasted pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sunflower seed butter, walnuts,, tahini (sesame seed paste) (nut serving = 2 TBSP), and avocados (serving = 1/4 cup).
You avoid raw vegetables, chewing gum, acidic beverages ( coffee, juice) and salt for 4 days. You eat four 400 calorie meals that include some of the "MUFA's".
It sounds pretty good - thought I would cast the net to see if anyone's given it a go.
