Default SB Encouraging Fellowship

OK, I'm seeing more and more posters that are Christians so I thought perhaps to start a thread for sharing with one another what the Lord is showing us in scripture.

I'll start by saying for a spell there I was so in tuned with learning the SB rules I didn't focus on Christ (confession here). Then a few weeks ago I came across the scripture that is now in my signature and am remembering this in my daily time. Exercise and meals are now just falling into place as I focus on Christ once again.

How about you, anything you'd like to share?

Hey Loriann !
I too have notice that this time around that the Lord is hleping me to say no to myself and helping me to stick to this way of living. I know that the better I feel the more I want to do and the better witness I am. Right now we are learning more about the power of prayer in my church and how that even one person can change the outcome of things if they truly have a heart after God, I want to make sure my heart is clean before Him and I know prayer is what it is going to take to change me inside and out

My faith is the main reason for me going back on the SB diet. I always felt my overeating and eating the wrong foods was not pleasing to my Lord, although He loves me in spite of my faults. Thank You God for your grace!!! Our body is a temple, we should do all we can to take care of it. One of my favorite passages: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12: 1--2. I find when I eat right and I am in my Word my mind is being renewed. I want to be ready for His return or my going to Him. Everyone have a blessed day!!!

Food for thought:

"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'" Matthew 15:11

"Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?"" Matthew 6:25

I have noticed when I give glory to God and Praise Him in all I do (not just with my healthy lifestyle) things seem to fall in place easier.

I so agree with you gals comments

Christian, I encourage you to grab a strongs concordance or a topical Bible and do a private study outside the church study on prayer, you'll be amazed at how much more you grasp and understand! Prayer isn't something we say, prayer is a way of life!

Carol, that is one of my favorite passages as well, and note "transformed by the renewing of the mind"... something we need to do not daily, but often throughout the day as did Daniel!

Hi Lisa, awesome passages! "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

Gonna, do things fall into place? Or do we fall into place with God's will?
