Default Working out 2 hours a day, who is with me ??

Hi everyone,

Starting from tomorrow October 4th, I will be doing 2 hours work out.
In the morning, I will have a brisk walk for an hour (includes walking in a hill).
In the evening, I will do a 30min Tae Bo Fat blasting cardio + 30min weight lifting for toning.

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated

How on earth do you find the time?!?!

The only feasible workout schedule that I could fit into my life was:

1) Wake up at 4:30 am (that's no typo) and do my 10 minute weights with Denise Austin (her counting sucks but she's pretty motivational).
2) Fix myself up for work, do some quick clean up stuff (maybe laundry), head out the door at 6:00 to catch the 6:36 into the city. Walk 1 mile from the train to work.
3) Work until 5:00. Walk 1 mile back to the train.
4) Get home at 6:15, eat and start on around the house chores. Try for 25 minutes of yoga or 1 hour of stationary bike (I like it because I get to watch TV and pretend I'm not exercising) alternating every other day.

I couldn't even imagine trying to squeeze in more!

Ah, the price one pays for being a neat freak

I'm an early bird so the 4:30 isn't that bad once you get used to it. I actually solidified that habit rather recently because of a haircut (of all things!). I decided to cut my hair short as a symbolic gesture of the starting of my weight loss journey. Where my hair before was very wash and go, the new haircut requires the use of a blowdryer and gasp, even a flat iron. Because of that getting up at 4:30 to do my weights routine has become the norm after struggling with it for months.

Now if only I could figure out a way to solidify the yoga/cardio bits which currently are very hit or miss.

At least I always (during weekdays anyway) have the 2 mile walk that's kind of masquerading as exercise to boost the calorie output levels

wow the lengths we go to just to get a work out====

anyway just logging on to state that i have done it--- i have met the challenge for the day--- two hours --- and on to tomorrow hopefully i can keep this on---

anyway totally totally sore

i did my second day of level one on the shred today--- that was murder --since i was still sore from yesterdays initial workout--- and i think i need to do smaller weights--- i did 5lb ones---

20 min---shred

10 min---elliptical machine

20-30 min--- bringing in the elliptical machine into the house---yes i finally took that thing out of the garage and used it--- im counting that as a workout considering how big that thing is and it is a workout to bring it in by yourself ---good thing it has wheels and i didnt have to lift it more than three or four stairs

15-20 min of denise austin's fat burning cardio mix--- and gave up as i couldnt keep up with it=== especially since i had just finished the shred workout--i also dont think its for beginers---maybe in a few months i can try that dvd workout again--- oh well ---

oh and for the rest of the two hours i also went to the store and walked around for like an hour and a half --

so for now i'll keep up the shred and up the elliptical time---i'm also thinking about picking up running again--but for now i'll just work on these for now

princess2323: WAW, that's fantastic ! Keep up the good work.

Does any of you girls work out on week end ? I haven't done any today and I feel kind of guilty, plus I am exhausted, I guess I'll just let my body rest this week end.

I only workout on my days off. But that is 4 days a week.

I work 12 hour shifts. So 6:45 am til 7:15 pm (1/2 hour unpaid break makes the days actually 12.5 hours).

My workdays are up at 4:45, leave at 5:15 to catch the 5:36 train - the trains are spaced so that I will be 5 min late if I catch the next one. Finish work at 7:15, run to the station, 7:35 train and home by 8:15.

So on the days I work I am away from home for 15 hours. Add dinner, throwing a load of washing on and there is no way I can physically fit more into the day!

I'd love to have the time to do 2 hours exercise every day, but it's not going to happen!

good work-- keep it up everyone--- lets see i'm on day 7 of the shred--- still walking around whenever possible-- i try to keep going on the weekends myself--course i've really only been working out for like 2-3 weeks now-- i've been getting workout dvds from the library and trying them out to see what i like---

yesterday i did the 30DS in the am and leslie sansone's 4 mile challenge walk or walk away the pounds or whatever its called and that was good and that was an hour and then just walked around for the other half hour

---so keep it up you are all doing just fine--so what if you didnt get 2 hours in -- there's always tomorow

Honestly I don't think working out for 2 hours is a productive use of time. That's just me.

I spend about an hour at the gym 3x a week and about 40 minutes 2x other times. I do ~30 mins of weight lifting, followed by ~30 mins of steady state cardio (mostly just to loosen up and relax) 3x per week. The other 2x I do ~30 mins of HIIT cardio.

Every once in a while I'll pop in a DVD at home on a day I don't make it to the gym.

In the mornings I do crunches and pushups and stretching, but less than 15 mins worth.

I find that any more than that and I'm just wearing myself out and not really burning any more calories or making any more progress.

Again, that's just me.
