Default Ack! I'm scaleless!!!

Less than two months ago I bought a $20 digital scale from Target. It's always been kind of strange, and sometimes would give bizarre readings, but I kept it because I didn't want to mess with getting another one. Well, yesterday I stepped on it and it said I weighed over 800 pounds!!! I reset it, took out the batter, etc. and it still said I weighed that much! There's no way I'm keeping a scale if it's being THAT rude! So I put it back in the box, dug out my receipt (good thing I thought to keep those things) and I took it back.

THEN, I took that money and the rest of a gift card I got for my birthday, and I went over to Bed Bath & Beyond. A lot of folks here at 3FC have sung praises about the Tanita scales, so that's what I set my sights on. Well, they were out of the one I wanted, so they ordered it from their website and are shipping it free to my house. It's cool that they did that for me, but until it comes (3-8 days...they said it takes about 3 or 4) I'm without a scale. Ack!! I'm one of those weird people that has a strict morning routine of stepping on the scale right before I shower. It feels soooo strange to not know where I am, weightwise. This is going to drive me crazzazazay!!! lol

On the plus side, between returning the bad scale and the gift card, I didn't have to shell out any more money for the Tanita scale!!

I know it's hard when you're used to weighing daily. I weigh every day. I had the luck to take two vacations this year, one just under a week and one just over. So no weighing during those times. I don't like having those holes in my data . But in the grand scheme of things, it just don't matter . But I understand the feeling .

I was totally thinking the other day that when I go on my trip next month, I'm going to be without a scale for a WEEK! I actually considered packing it...

I'm just like you, I have to weigh myself every morning. It keeps me on track.

We'll see what happens, it may go in my luggage after all!

I'm an every-day-weigher also, though that gets interrupted when I go out of town. It did drive me a little nutty, but you get used to it. I hope you'll like your new Tanita!

My co workers are trying to break me of this habit now...I ended up bringing my scale into work so that I weigh only once a week instead of every day. It is a VERY hard habit to break! Every morning I look at the floor where the scale once was...it's KILLING me!!!
