Default Newbie From TN

Hey all! My name is Jenn, I am from Tennessee. Ive got two kids and have been married for almost 10 years. Tonight I have finally made the decision that I am going to lose this weight for good!!! I lost around 23 lbs last year on phenteramine, I went off of it for a few months, then found out I was pregnant, and then miscarried. Id like to do this all on my own this time. I am tired of being overweight. Most of my childhood I was overweight, at around 13 I lost about 40 lbs. I then gained all that weight back and then some, at 16 I started working out religiously and lost a ton of weight, I weighed in at 112 lbs when I got pregnant with my first son.. I was young, 18, and I am only 5'3 I gained 65 lbs with him, then It seemed like all I did was gain weight. I weigh 220 right now and my goal for now is to weigh 130. I look forward to meeting you guys, and all the tips, and learning from all of you that have had such tremendous success! Congrats to you all!

Welcome Jenn! I am new here as well. I have found that food journaling and creating mini goals is really keeping me motivated. I have also enlisted several friends to walk with!

Make sure to visit this site often. It is chock full of information!

Hi Jenn!

We're all tired of being overweight and unhealthy. You're not alone. Small changes add up. You can do this!

Congrats to you! For deciding now is the first day of the rest of your life.

How are you planning to go about achieving this?

You may want to jump on over to the 100lb club. While you don't have quite 100 lbs to lose this area may connect you with others who have a bit to lose and are working together towards getting it off. There are also areas based on ages so check those out as well!

Best of success!

Ive been looking at all the different ways to lose, I just dont know which one to pick..kinda dumb to go at this without a plan huh. but I did work out this morning, I walked a mile, then came home did some pilates and cardio, my legs are killing me..shows how hard I need to work!

Exercising is such an excellent start

Starting an exercise routine is part of the plan. So keep at it.

A good idea might be to let the exercise habit catch on, and then work on food maybe a week from now. No need to do everything all at once.
