Question The Abs Diet for Women

Is anyone following the abs diet or the abs diet for women? I think this is a great eating plan and not a "diet" at all.

I'm new to this forum and just finding my way around after reading the TOU. Since I may want to talk about specific programs, and don't want to offend even one fat (or thin) chick (let alone three), can someone assure me that this post for the abs diet is acceptable?

Hi!

I'm not sure what your exact question is? You can ask questions and get to know anyone in the forums. There are thousands of people here who are very supportive. So just dig in and find where you belong. I am allowed to post links because I have been a member for quite some time. I dont think you can as of yet. IDK if I answered your questions but feel free to ask and i'll try to find an answer

good luck with the boards and your weightloss journey!

I am not following this diet HOWEVER, I have a friend who read the book cover to cover and she did amazingly well . And yes, it is a new way of eating , like all "diets" should be. Something that you can do for the rest of your life. She took off over 30 pounds and she has kept it off over 2 years now. Good Luck to you !

I have looked at this, I do not have the specific womens guide, have the eat right every time guide for the abs diet which i think covers the whole program pretty well.

Have you had luck with this?? I need to find something to do, right now I am just gaining weight because I have not found what I think I should do!!! so I just fumble around pretty unfocused and get frustrated and then gain weight.

I like this program, I think, because you are not really counting, more eating sensibly with guidelines.

But anyway would love to hear about some success, the last time I lost weight was WW core....a very modified core but it worked, wonderering if I should return to that.....oh I do need direction.

thanks---Chris

hey chris,

i have found that it is easy for me to eat according to these guidelines and it makes it easier to stay healthy. i am incorporating the guidelines into WW flex and as for now it is working. my first weigh in is sat but i am sticking to it. i have been eating based on the guidelines for over a month now. and i have managed to lose 8 pounds. I think its a good program one that you can definitely use for life. hope that helps!

I just finished reading this book, and I think I'm going to go ahead and give it a try. It makes sense to me! Build muscle to burn more fat.

I looked over the 12 power foods and am happy with that since I eat a lot of them anyways. I also like the idea of eating 6 times a day, which at first thought was crazy...but then I realized that duh, it's 3 meals and 3 snacks. I can do that!

I got the book yesterday and started reading last night. I'm working on my grocery list and some meal ideas. I'm not going to jump into this plan at full force but I am going to start increasing my protein intake and making other changes. I think that if I do this gradually, I will develop better eating habits for the long run which is most important.
