Well Hello There

  • Hi Ya'll !!

Guess what? I just figured out I'm fat. I have used excuse after excuse as to why I stay fat. The most prominent one: My husband likes meat on his woman. Well, too bad so sad. I'm done with that. I got tired of being tired. Tired of not liking my clothes. Tired of being uncomfortable all the time. I just snapped one day about 3 weeks ago.

Since then, I am down 13 lbs. I am working out at a gym and doing weight watchers. I know this time will be different. I am doing it for me, not for anyone else AND I am motivated. I can hardly wait to post my after pictures.

Oh yea, my name is Julie, I live in mid Missouri. Mom of 6 kids, 2 his, 2 mine, 2 ours. (no, they all do not live with me). And one beautiful baby granddaughter. I hate vegetables, so if you have any great recipes without too many veggies in them, I need them....lol. I work at a bank call center and have little or no exercise during the day, but I can sit on a work out ball. Our boss is a cycling nut and will do anything to help us get or stay fit. I need knee surgery again and am determined to get below 220 before hand.

I can hardly wait to get to know everyone.

  • Welcome, Julie! You are in the right place, and you're going to love WW. It seems like the weight just melts off! Anyways, I have been doing it since April 7, 2008. I have lost 40 pounds. I have about ten more to go until I hit my dream goal. Check out some of the WW blogs -- they are great for support. Heck, start one yourself. Kind of helps keep you accountable -- sure helped me.
  • Hi Julie! I could have written your post! In fact I think I did, LOL.

I am on WW too, the online version (don't have time or desire to go to meetings although it would probably help). I've been on WW for nearly a month and am down 12 lbs. It really does work but I know the closer I get to my goal the harder it will be to shake off those pounds. Har, I say that like I am anywhere near.

    We'll do this together

  • Welcome Julie
You got the right attitude. Congrats o the weight already lost. It is so good you are doing this for yourself and not because anyone else wants you to. Look forward to seeing you around. Since you have a grandchild I assume you are in the 40's like me. The 40 somethings are a wonderful group. Hope you join us.

    Good luck with your journey

    Karen
