I am in the same situation. My MOH dress just came in this week. It was ordered on measurements from 20 lbs ago! Good thing we are getting free alterations since the one of the brides maids is a good seamstress.

This is an interesting thread- I am in a wedding in February. I haven't ordered my dress yet, but I have to get it very soon. I'm losing about 10lbs per month so far, and I know it may slow down, but even if I order it in late October, I KNOW i'll be a lot smaller by February..God willing at goal, even. I'm praying that 1. Alterations won't cost THAT much and 2. It CAN be altered!

But CONGRATS on your awesome work! isn't it amazing when you try something on that actually did fit? what a way to see the difference, even though you may not feel that much different...

I don't mean to be insensitive, but you lost 3 dress sizes! Maybe you need to reread what you wrote because I think that is so worth 275 smackers! Plus, you are going to look fabulous.
I try to shop for the future these days. 20 pounds ago (June), I went dress shopping and found these two beautiful Donna Ricco dresses -- at the Macy's clearance center, 75% off. I didn't care if they didn't fit; I just didn't want anyone else to have them! I couldn't even zip either of them up, but I had two weddings coming up in September and October (I am a minister -- sexy minister), one for some good friends and my brother's wedding. Not only can I zip those suckers up now, by myself, but they look great. When I shop, even now, I don't let size discourage me. I think, well, this dress might actually work for the Christmas party in four months.

Although the extra expense kind of stinks, it's great that you lost three sizes!!! Like others said, that would be worth the extra money to me LOL
