Default New 20-something....

Hi everyone!

I'm Chemgirl, and I'm new to 3FC. I'm 26, and like my sn suggests, I am a chemist.

I hit my breaking point today after lurking for months, so I'm here to get myself back on track and to finally get back to a healthy weight.

My plan is to count calories (I've been doing it for the past 2 months, and keeping a food journal) and I'd also like to do Fat Smash at the same time. I have a membership to a no-frills gym, and I'd like to walk the treadmill and maybe incorporate some of the (grossly unused) exercise dvd's I have.

Hello! Sounds like you'll be following the same plan I've been following! If you stick with it and are really good about counting your calories adn not going over it works really well! Good luck!

Welcome! I'm doing more or less the same thing you are. Counting calories, DVDs and maybe a rec center gym (you can't beat $50 for 3 months )once I get the money.

I don't know too much about fat smash but I've found that calorie counting is the best way for me to stay "on plan" because I only have a daily limit, and even that is flexible.

You might want to look into calorie cycling too, I've found that to be really effective if somewhat hard to keep track of at times.
