How about me?

Hi there, my name is Emma Rose, and I’m new here
I figured I’d just give a little background on me so we can work on not being strangers
I’m 20 years old and go to UC Irvine in Southern California, however I was born and raised up in NorCal
Right now I’m a Psychology and Social Behavior major with a minor in Biology
(aka, I have no life)
I have an amazing boyfriend who I’ve been best friends with since tenth grade, and who is leaving the state this year to go attend film school

I’m completely head over heels addicted to music, and I LOVE to read
(if any of you have and good music or reading suggestions, I’d be really happy to get them)
I decided to join this site because I feel that it is time for me to get back to the weight I was before a heinous break up and the college gain
I was much more confident back then, and just happier in general
I want to enjoy running again
(haven’t done THAT in a while)
And I want to look good for myself again
I WOULD say that I want to look good for my boyfriend, but he’s one of those sweetly oblivious guys who wouldn’t notice if I gained 100 pounds
It’s a blessing and a curse at the same time
Since he’s so fine with how I look, I didn’t have that much motivation to really change
But then I realized that I’m my own motivation, and that I don’t need any outside sources
So, here I am

I know it’s not going to be instantaneous, and I know that it’s sure not going to be a barrel of laughs, but I’m willing to give it my best shot and I'm here to support you guys as you strive to reach your goal

cant forget the dog that weighs 100lbs not overweight (pound lied about how big he was going to get)
can't say no to work on extra hours
nurse in the ob department with some special care nursery

been dieting 2 years, lost about 65lbs.
struggling to loose my last bit but im trying to be positive andmost of al stick to plan
i have mainly got to get me head sorted out in how i view food, what i see as a 'treat' and how food is not the answer to stress, and stress eating is the biggest curse to fall on my chunky thighs.
i love to run when i can
i love to go out dancing with uni friends.
im doing my degree in theatre and performance which should keep me busy, but i also get insanely jealous of all the slim actors.
and i have a wild cat called zenith whi keeps me busy when im doing nothing like now, as he chews on my right foot.

Hi Emma, Im Cat and i'm 22. I just joined this website yesterday!!
I'm from Scotland and live in Glasgow with my boyfriend. I've just graduated from the royal academy of music in performance on my violin and the BF graduated in film!!
I'm going to study sound engineering this year and i'm so excited!
I love music too, any kind but right now i'm loving ska music.
I'm trying my hardest to get back to the size i was as high school...got about a stone and a half to lose (i'm not sure what that works out as in pounds..)
We should be buddies and help each other along

Hi Emma, i'm Amy, I just joined last week, and will be hitting the two week mark on Saturday.
I was born and raised in California (LA to be exact) but moved to NY at 20 where I met my husband Steve of 19 years. We are now living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC and LOVE it!
We have 4 kids, all over 11 and keep busy with sports music etc. We are a family of musicians actually, I play bass guitar and drums.
I am also a student, studying to become a certified nutritional consultant, master herbalist and Holistic Health Practitioner. I have 3 more years of school, but am real close to receiving my nutritional consultant certification (another motivator to lose weight)

Hey Emma. I'm Molly. I am kinda new too. I am 22 with 3 kids and struggling with my weight also. My boyfriend is the excat same was as yours. I ask him if i look fat, his response? "No you look great!" As nice as that might sound, I don't feel great.
I work for the newspaper here in my town, which is exciting. I am trying to lose my baby weight from my latest baby, who is 5 months old now. I used to be happy with myself before I put on all of the weight (which started with baby numero uno). Now I am ho hum.
I have actually been to Irvine, Ca, back in the beginning of 06. It was so much fun. We went to Laguna and Riverside. You are so lucky to be in such an amazing place. Not so much great here Missouri is boring and humid. If you like sweating to death its amazing. But me, I'm more of a no sweat kinda gal.
Anywho....good luck with your goals. I am so glad their are girls out there like me who are going through the same thing!

My biggest down falls are carbs and red wine
I also love the dancing carrot - although I wish they had an artichoke because that's my favorite veggie
I am engaged to a wonderful man who is 100% British and came to live with me in December and go to school (He loves fried English food and doesn't gain an ounce...ever)
He wouldn't notice if I gained 100 pounds either

I am 22, just finished school after getting a BA in English with a Shakespeare concentration. I was born and raised in VA but I live in NY(upstate, not the city). Due to some major stress my senior year I gained close to 40lbs. (Yikes). I am taking a year off, living with my bf, and applying to grad schools for next year.
I am a climber, fencer, horseback rider, and hiker

Hey Emma, Welcome! I'm Steve, I'm 21 and live in north Florida. I'm a bio major, and I work and volunteer 4-5 days a week...I also do not have a life. I've been on this site since spring, lots of great people and fun times! I love running, sadly though my knees just won't take it anymore and I can't do it...sigh. I do all sorts of training though, weights, yoga, pilates, plyometrics...and on and on and on. Good Luck!

Hey im Jade, im 21 and am from London.
Im about to start a new university doing a drama degree and hopefully go on to get my Masters degree in Dramatherapy.
Ive been with my bf for nearly 4 years and have gone from beiny tiny to gaining loads of weight (whereas he puts it on in muscle and prefers chunkier girls but still!lol)
Il be moving to the US next year for a year to study, havnt decided on which part yet tho.
I currently work at a lingerie store part time (which is where most of my paycheck goes anyway).
I was hoping to shift the weight before i started this new uni but my mission is to get the reamaining 30+ lbs off before my birthday in late november.
Good to meet you all.
I think this should be fun (in an overly sweating, emotional, binge eating kinda way.lol)
BUt i reckon we'll kick *** anyway.
