Default Hello from Maine!

Hi everyone just wanted to introduce myself. I am 24 years old, from a small town in Maine, we dont even have a gym. I have been on other diets but really need to be serious this time. I have 2 yr old son and have recently discovered that it is getting increasingly harder to keep up with him. So I decided that it was time to do something. So here I am!!!

Returning the hello from Maine! (Though I'm in Portland so we do have a gym ). Are you starting a specific diet or just picking up healthier habits?

Hi! I'm in Maine too. I just wanted to say hi and see what you are going to be doing (are you following a certain diet etc.). I started SBD on Monday...so far so good. Good Luck!

Hello from North Carolina and

I know what you mean about not being able to keep up with kids.
Since you don't have a gym, do you have any trails or maybe a high school track you could use for walking/running? Maybe even look at the classifieds for exercise equipment.

Best of luck to you on your journey.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am just trying to eat healthier and to move more. Nothing too specific. I have tried WW and had great sucess but it gets a bit expensive. If what I am doing now dosent work then I will try to do it from home.
I have been walking a lot, there is a track at the local high school but I like to look at things while am walking, seems to make it go by faster. So I usually just walk around my house. I have a treadmill and my BF has some weight lifting equipment so when the snow starts to fly I will have some where to work out then.
Thanks again for the warm welcome and hello to all the fellow Mainers!!

Welcome, AngelMae! I, like you, love WW, but don't have a lot of extra cash. I have been doing it at home since April 2008 and have lost almost 40 pounds. If you are pretty self-motivated, it's not too hard to do. I just got the info online (the patent is pretty easy to find for the formula). I do the flex program. I just don't do weigh-ins. I use 3FC as my main source of support. If you want any more info on my "guerilla WW," you can send me a personal message or contact me on my blog. Good luck to you!
