Wow. I'm not even picking my bridesmaid's dress for her, just letting her do her own thing.

That article baffled me. I can't imagine humans treating other humans like that. Allow me to brag for a minute! I got my SIL bridesmaid to shop with me to pick out dresses, and I liked the one she chose, so we got it. My Dad who used to own a flower shop is coming from across the country 2 days before the wedding and we are going to the grocery store to buy 'whatever' flowers we like for him to make the bouquets. Any flowers, any colours. the 3 little flower girls might get scared and not want to go down the aisle in order, so if they want they can hold hands with a BM, or be carried, or not go at all, as they like.
Before I got to know them all, I was afraid they might try to take over the plans, but as I grew to care about them, and really like them, it's more all about everyone being comfortable, and having a good time!
*** I did ask one Bridesmaid if I could borrow some of her bosom for the wedding, but she said no, I'd probably lose it.****

Now stop me if I'm wrong here... but isn't this the Brides big day? Shouldn't she hope that everyone around her looks like a bunch of flat chested wrinkly hags so SHE looks better than all of them?

Wow, I wouldn't do it, I'd make some alterations to my dress and be offensive! Sad thing is this Bridezilla probably will get divorced in two years anyway.

no, that is absolutely stupid. Those brides should be ashamed of the way they act.

LOL too funny! I'm having a laid back wedding where we are inviting 20-30 guests to Las Vegas. I don't have to plan much either. Not even having bridesmaids just maid of honor and best man. That is so ridiculous how people become such control freaks!

Personally, I gave my bridesmaids the option of choosing any style dress they liked, so long as the color and fabric matched. And they are free to do what they want with their hair.

If my friend requested that I get some kind of cosmetic surgery in order to be in her wedding, I would absolutely refuse. I would even refuse if she suggested I drop a few lbs before her big day or change my hair color or any other ridiculous, insulting request. No way. That isn't a friend.

I left everything to my 5 bridesmaids except the dress (which they all liked). A few led the group to some crazy decisions, like insisting everyone buy matching shoes (some couldn't afford this so I had to pitch in to help out with my meager $), trashing my house while getting ready, and being miraculously absent when it came time to clean all their junk out of the bridal room after the wedding.

At the end of it all, I was married to the man of my dreams and they- important people in my life- were there to share the day.
