Default Hi, I'm excited to be here

Hi everyone!
This looks like a very friendly place. I'm excited to be here, I've also sent my friend a link so she can join too. We need support and have questions.
I'm a stay at home mother of three, I homeschool my youngest and do wood working. I live in the country and have horses, dogs, cats, chickens and ducks. I LOVE it here!
I've dieted all my life, so I KNOW all the stupid rules, but I still have questions and still need support, not to mention many of the rules seem to change
I've read through some of the forums and everyone seems so friendly. I'm anxious to meet you all and get to know you.
My friend and I have recently begun dieting again, she is a diabetic, so her rules are different and her input to me is enlightening and informative and very helpful for my own health. I can't wait for her to join and you to meet her also.

You're right about this being a friendly place. I can't say it often enough, but this is the only place I've found support and acceptance without a lot of judgmental people. You'll find a lot of help here for almost any issue that comes up! I also homeschool (2 boys) and find that it's hard to get together with others, but on 3FC, I'm able to talk, vent, and just connect with others who have a similar goal. Keep coming back!

Hey AlwaysADieter!

We had a great thread a while back, asking "What rules do you break?" The thing about following whatever "diet rules" you've heard is...well, you've tried that! The rules shift, the advice changes, and who knows what to settle on?

At 3FC, we put more focus on making lifestyle changes...real changes in our everyday lives that we can sustain for the rest of our days, to get real weight loss and, more difficult, lifelong weight maintenance. So maybe it's time to let go of the rules a little bit and try just making some healthy changes to your lifestyle?

Stick around and keep posting and reading. Can't wait to get to know you better!

WOW!
Thank you all! I'm so glad I came here!
You are SO right Mandalinn82! It IS something I've tied to arrange in my life. Because we all know that dieting is a lost cause, unless you CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE eating habits. But we also know that is SO hard in real life.
Ronni62-- we might need to talk more--LOL Homeschooling is great........but........LOL Venting is a much needed outlet.
Scrappin RN, yes, I AM fortunate to be here and I appreciate it EVERY DAY!
I am settled on the back of my dad's 240 acres--completely immersed in the woods, never to have a neighbor, never to leave. I walk once or twice a day--just because I can--peacefully, on my dirt driveway a half mile long.
Found this place riding my horse when I was a kid (oh, about a hundred years ago). When he let me move here, I did. Moved away, thinking life had more offerings elsewhere, and when I had a chance to move back, I did so without question. Now, I'm here! YEA!
I look so much forward to getting to know you all!
THANKS for the exceptionally warm welcome.
