STOP! Think! will this actually make you feel better or worse? Try and find an alternative activity to take your mind off of the food you have already consumed and keep you from thinking what else you can eat. The past is the past, food eaten is not going to go away, its better to focus on the next step, getting back on track.
I will assign you a task. Go measure all your body parts with measuring tape. That should take you a good ten minutes and if that doesn't divert your attention away from food measure all your boyfriends boy parts....that aughta do it...

My cravings are the strongest when I've been drinking with the bf and friends. And that is when the most damage is done since it all happens at midnight or later and with the worst foods you can think of.

My only remedy to this? I bring a travel mug of coffee wherever we go with a couple bottles of water, then have 1 light beer to satisfy the masses. It depends on what the underlying issues may be so I don't know whether this would work for you but it's the only thing that does it for me.

btw, Ghost: "I will assign you a task. Go measure all your body parts with measuring tape. That should take you a good ten minutes and if that doesn't divert your attention away from food measure all your boyfriends boy parts....that aughta do it...

LOL! That's hilarious! good on ya!

Any of you out there have a suggestion on how to stop wanting that glass of wine or two or three in the eve? as that is when I tend to fall off the perverbeal wagon. Once I drink that glass of wine it like "let the snacking begin" I guess I need something to break a life long habit of my wine after dinner..Exercise is not what I am looking for 1. I have just finished a nice safe meal, 2. if I start in exercising that time of the eve I will never sleep and 5am comes around awful fast.

Help please

Guilty as charged. I tend to think too much about the item I want to eat. I need to control that.

One way I've sorta helped the cause is by doing cardio in the evenings. I tend to feel a bit better.

It's OKAY to feel. Seriously, you might feel upset but you'll get over it and when you do you'll feel alot better for just allowing your feelings to flow. However if you eat, you'll be allowing yourself to give in and then you'll feel guilty - and you already know that. It's a simple choice. You can do it

bees if I do cardio past 6pm I am up for hours and hours and lay in bed until past midnight and I get up at 5am so that wont work but thank you for the help.
Last night I rumaged though the house (wine is all gone by the way and hubby has promised he will buy no more until I am ready) I finally settle on some chips and salsa and after eating about 4 chips it just did not work for me without the wine so I put it up. I tried my back up snack -- dill pickles-- they did not taste good, so then I gave up, without the wine my evening snacks just are not such a treat any longer....

Hope that pattern keeps up
