I am new here. I am a 35 year old stay at home mom of 2 little boys and I have been on a weightloss journey for a little more than a month. I am doing Jenny craig (direct) and I have lost about 20 lbs! I started at 233 and I am down to 213. I am 5 9" and my goal is 170. I gained weight after having each child, not during my pregnancies. I also gained from steroids I took due to allergic reations, a broken foot and I had to be on the pill for a few months. This was very depressing for me.
I have not been under 200 lbs since before I had my children and I am looking forward to that moment very much! I have been walking and using wii fit! It is so much fun. I am taking it one day at a time. I only get frustrated when I think about how far I have to go :< I am happy however that my health is improving. My cholesterol is down (it was 298!) and my medication was reduced to half so far. I am so proud of anyone who is trying to lose weight because I know how difficult it is. I am also concerned about the keeping it off part, but lets get there first girls!
We have forums for Jenny Craig folks, so look those up. You might also look at the 30-Somethings, a support group for those in your age range. We've got all kinds of clubs around, so take a look, pick one or a few, and settle in. Can't wait to see you around!
