Default Still going... & Back again

Ancient history, was active here a 3FC before 2000.

After a long history of diet losses leading to weight gain, I topped out at 300 in July ’04(?).

My new system was to get around the yo-yo gains by losing small amounts slowly with “maintenance” breaks in between. Like, lose 10 pounds in 2 months, then maintain the loss 2 months, then go again until at goal.

Over the next 2 years I did lose around 51 pounds slowly w/o dieting, just eating better and sometimes walking. But I kind of forgot to do the maintenance breaks and lost focus.

In the last 2 years I gained 33 pounds back. Now my waist is almost as big as my bust and hips.

I love healthy Mediterranean eating and want to go with the Flat Belly Diet for a jump start, although I know I need to also incorporate some exercise and not depend on a limited calorie diet over time.

I also need support and don’t have any *real life* friends interested.

Help, please! Thanks for reading!

Delita

Thanks, Spoz. Thanks for reminding me to remember the good - a least I came back before I gained it all back! Delita

Welcome to 3FC's!!! It sounds like we have about the same amount to loose. What is the Mediterranean diet/flat belly diet?

We do sound like we have quite a bit in common!

The diet is called Flat Belly Diet developed by Prevention magazine. It is a decent low cal diet based on Mediterranean eating and low calories but targets belly fat with good oils like from nuts and dark chocolate.
