Default Losers and Friends August 4-10

Wow! This is the 1st time I've EVER had to do this one! Where is everyone? Back to school shopping???

I fell hard this weekend... pizza twice and I don't think I ate ANY veggies except for what was on the pizza! I am up 2lbs, but refuse to adjust my ticker! I am on take off - I finally broke down and bought the juice since it was on special, so I'm hoping the 2lbs will be gone by tomorrow!

I was extreeeeeemely sore this weekend after the yoga/pilates on Friday, don't think I will do that again for a while!!!

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great Monday

Good morning everyone. I am going to write out my losing plan this a.m., kind of like the COD does. I thought it outloud one day on here, but I don't know where I posted it. I need to see some end to the losing. I know it won't get much easier after the losing part is over, but I know I will look and feel a whole lot better, and I am waiting for that!!! I will report my findings when I get done........if my rowdy kids let me......

They start school on August 14. Isn't that insane? Actually, I'm just starting to look forward to it.......so it must be time. We have had a good summer, and I love having them home......but I love having them get back to school just the same. This year, it will be just Andrew, who will be 4 in October. Crazy, isn't it? Of course, I will have baby Maria while Emily is in school half days as well..........but only 1 of my babies will be home with me.

Ok, I totally blew it this weekend.......not horribly.....but certainly not OP. I enjoyed it, and I am over it. I am back OP today, and I didn't WI today. Those numbers can't screw me up and depress me if they don't exist, right? I am feeling quite positive about being the incredible shrinking lady lately.........and that is a nice change I hope you all have a wonderful OP day........and I hope all of you Canandians have a nice holiday
XOXO

Hi Julie!

It is dead in here today! Crazy! Well I hope everyone had a good weekend. I was bad yesterday and decided to go to my Fav mexican restaurant and get Queso dip to go. Then I sat at home and ate it by my self. My stomach is still mad at me today! UGH! Anyway back on track today! Hope you all have a great POP day!

Good luck on TO Julie I am sure the 2 lbs will be off in no time.
PS. I took my After picture at the center the other day. Sat actually. It was weird. I don't feel like I have met the goal that I would like to meet. So I think in Sept. I will go back to Weightloss again. At least for another 10 maybe 20 lbs.

Hi Nicole must have been posting at the same time....
Congrats on the losing battle! You are doing great!
I can't believe your kids start school in Aug that is sooo weird. Kids here never start till after labor day.
And as for blowing it this weekend, see my above post. HAHA! But we are back on plan and that is all that matters right?

Hey all..

Well, I'm back from California.. Two weeks in a tent.. Yikes!! Anyway, it's great to be home and to be with Liz and the kiddos.. I'm taking today off to decompress and get some laundry done...

Time to get back on track with the healthy food choices.. I was as good as I could be while at the fire, but you know how things go.. I was able to eat a lot of fruit and generally stayed away from the high fat, high calorie meals...

There was an area I traveled through several times while there, where wild blackberries were growing. So I helped myself a few times.. Great stuff...

Anyway, I hope you're all well and staying on plan!!!

Nicole, I know how it is to have school starting early, my DS starts on the 25th, we always start the monday before Labor Day, but that means they actuall get our earlier, which can be a problem since the summer camps start based on when the public schools let out, not the Private school my DS goes too.

I wasn't too bad this weekend. We went to a Breakfast brunch (not a buffet) and I have a large crape filled with yogurt, fresh fruit (strawberries, rasberries, and blackberries) and topped with more of the same and some granola. I know that the yogurt wasn't low fat at all, but it was actually the healthiest thing on the menu. I also had 1 bite of a piece of my husband's pizza, but other than that I ate pretty good. I am up a little from my Wed WI, but I also have TOM that just showed up so I always go up just a little right before I start, that should be gone before I WI on Wednesday. Hopefully, I will even be able to lose a little, but without my Elliptical (still waiting for the parts to come so DH can fix it), I don't get as much exercise, as I would like. I got 60 minutes on the Bike, I just don't get as an intense workout on it as I do on my Elliptical.

Hope everyone has a POP Day.

Default Can I join you?

Hi!

I've been hovering around this thread for a couple of weeks and finally decided it was time to join in!

I'm new to LAWL, but I've already found that I love the accountability and knowing what I should be eating!! My real problem is that I'm not all that thrilled with my center, and it's 50 mis. away. I was hoping to join here and get more consistent feedback!

You all seem like a great group and I'm looking forward to getting to know you!!!

Welcome TX!!

Post early and often.. Fire away with any questions you have and be prepared to share your insights as well.. This is a great group to use for support.. As Centers around the States have shut down in the last year, we seemed to have lost a few members to the ether, but the core group remains strong and we're here for each other!

Hey everyone,

I hate that school is starting my DS starts on the Monday the 11th. I think that I have all the shopping done for uniforms and supplies. I am starting something new with him this year. He is going to take his lunch. So, I have to sit down and come up with some menus for him. I don't think the school lunches were healthly and I don't want to fall into the trap of sandwiches and chips for him. So, I must plan. The doctor told us a couple weeks ago that he had to loose about 20lbs. So, the whole family is LAWL it basically. My son is not really on it. I am just trying to go by the food pyramid for his age and get him more active.

I was good Saturday and messed up Sunday and today. But the rest of the day I vow to be good and get right back on plan tomorrow. My DH started his job today and I actually got the house cleaned up. It feels good to be starting a regular rhythm. I am hoping that this helps me get back on plan. I really want to loose this 30lbs.

Well, I better go do dinner before he gets home. We have shifted to school bedtimes and wake up times around here getting ready for next week. So, my nights are shorter.

I hope everyone is staying OP and if not get back on the wagon.

Dionne- I think that it is a good plan to pack lunches. I always pack my kids' too. Our lunch program is ridiculously high in fat, sodium, and processed foods.

I'm a teacher, so I am WAY too familiar with school lunches LOL (teacher eat what the kids are served!!). I don't know about ketchup, but I know salsa is considered a veggie...not that the kids actually eat it! The food actually "tastes good", but is far from healthy. I always see a gain when I quit packing my lunch. That is one of my goals for this school year...AVOID THE LUNCH ROOM AT ALL COSTS!!!

My 3 kids pack their lunches as well as a snack for after school. Anyone have any suggestions? My kids like crackers and Laughing Cow cheese, yogurt, ANY kind of fruit, pb&j, wraps, etc., but they are getting tired of the same lunch foods.......

Thanks for the welcome Dan! Your accomplishment is quite a motivator!!!

My DS goes to a private school and the lunch program is just getting off the ground there for an everyday program. We purchase lunch for the month ahead of time, but I think for the post part the ladies that are running it are doing a great job with maintaining a balance between, health, cost, and preparation ease. I do remember pubic school being quite different.
