Post What to wear when you are loosing!?

I have a small dilemma, my pants are now big on me. I don't want buy some because I do plan on loosing more. I guess I can just keep wearing them for the time being with a belt but my butt looks really loose like I have a load...LOL. Can someone tell me what you all are wearing in that in-between-stage while loosing?? I would hate to live on sweatpants for the remainder of my journey, I can't wait to actually go shopping for a new wardrobe!

Typical ^^ Most of those I know just bought bargain pants for their "in between" phases.

Its getting to the time where department stores are starting to stock fall clothes, so I've been seeing a lot of good sales!

My aunt bought "ugly" pants so that she was extra-motivated to slim down

Can you afford just one pair? For right now when i go down a size i buy one pair of jeans and one pair of work pants. I dont know where you live, but if you have a DOTS, Kohls, or JcPenny's they are always having sales

Believe it or not, I have found some cheap deals on plus-size clothing on Ebay. I just bought 2 pairs of jeans for about $23 all together on Ebay. Cheaper than new. Good deal.

I do think for pants to flatter they have to be the correct size and so have bought sale/clearance clothes all along. I've also had a few things given. When you wear something new in a smaller size you'd be surprised how much people will notice your weightloss.

I bought a few long skirts - they are sooo easy to take in as you shrink, much easier than pants. Also, even when they are baggy you don't get the "change my diaper" look!

Congrats on your loss!

I've noticed recently that all my favorites are becoming baggy. Now, I do know how to sew, but I can't alter all my clothes, because I have boxes of 'too-smalls' in my basement that I'm almost ready to get into. That being said, have a few of your favorites tailored (by yourself?) and go to the sales at the mall. I also go to second hand stores like Value Village, because if you look, you CAN find some really pretty pieces. REMEMBER to get rid of all your 'too-bigs,' so you don't grow back into them! Good luck!

I used to never be able to wear medium in Old Navy clothes. I hit a sale there this weekend and bought about 60 dollars worth the clothes. I got one pair of jeans, eight shirts, and two pairs of shorts. And I am a friggin medium!!!!!

Although I've lost only 19 lbs, some of my pants are looking too big. I just bought a couple of capris that are stretchy, they'll probably last me the rest of the summer. I'm excited to walk into a store and come out with a smaller size, I just buy clothes on sale, but I think it's part of the process to buy as you go... for me it's a great motivator and I get to treat myself for all of my hard work.

Thanks for all the advice, I hope that finding the right clothes will motivate me to keep going. All my favorite clothes are now becoming too big, good way to find new faves in the mean time.

Like pipernoswiper said... I know many people on here who lost lots of weight get their "in between" clothes from goodwill, second hand stores, even salvation army. You do have to look through what they have really well but I don't really want to pay good amount of money when I know they will be getting big again soon.
