how do you include a message from someones post with the new message you are trying to post. the one thats always hi-lited in blue or grey, and includes the user name.
but what if you only want to use some of the original post, how do you quote a partial post. lol sorry for being such a nincompoop, but i've been wanting to know this 4 a while now
When you hit the "Quote" button, it puts the person's original post in the box where you type your post, so you can just delete the sentences/paragraphs/whatever that you don't want.
Just make sure you only delete words from the post, and don't delete the stuff that's surrounded by brackets ( "[" and "]" ), because that's the code that the forums put in so that the quoted part comes out highlighted and boxed in.
