Talking Laying it on the line, or measuring tape rather LOL

Hey Everyone, I am measuring myself every week to two weeks, and with me upping my exercise I thought I'd post here for all those who measure, or are afraid of measuring lol

I measure my upper arm, forearm, wrist, chest, waist, hips, calf, and thigh.... the first time I measured both right and left sides then wrote down the largest number making a note of R or L..

I measure because I am trying like heck not to get hung up on the pounds, I easily fall into the obsessive category thus ending in awful habits, measuring so far has worked for me... so over the next three months I'll be posting every week to two weeks in order to keep myself in check! Those that measure, are more than welcome to post them on here as well. lol

June 28th- all measurements in inches

Forearm: 11 1/2 (L)
Upper arm: 15 1/2 (L)
Wrist: 6 3/4 (L)
Chest: 53 1/2
Waist: 53
Hips: 63 1/2
Thigh: 30 (L)
Calf: 22 1/2 (L)

Isn't knowing half the battle? lol

I am a measurer too. I was dropping pant sizes but pounds weren't changing much or I was adding on. I went from 24 to 18 so far almost 16.

I found measuring weekly and not seeing results was kinda depressing. I do it every 2 -3 weeks but only really worry once a month. Seeing a bigger chnage helps motivation more.

I have limited myself to biceps, butt, thighs, around chest under my assests, calves and belly...Around biggest part of butt around to front, and belly button all around to back.

That's awesome! I was a 16 at 16 I think LOL Ha, and I'm 28 at 28 LOL I don't like this trendLOL

I'm a bit more obsessive, and two to three weeks is really the best way to measure, you are right.

I hadn't thought about measuring below the girls, lol my p/t friend said to measure over them, but in truth they aren't what I'm worried about so maybe I should change to under

Hi. Good job laying it on the line!
I used to measure everything, but this (LAST) time around I decided to only measure the absolute biggest part of my body, which is my gut. I measure right at my belly button. When I started I measured 54". In my planner/food diary I wrote it down with a hugh OMG and next to it. I'm happy to say that on Thursday when I measured, the tape said 44". 10 inches gone. I told my 9 year old, and he said WOW MOM, that's almost a FOOT! LOL . Out of the mouth of babes.

LOL i love that, Wow Mom, that's almost a foot! hehe Ten inches is incredible! I think I got into measuring when I didn't notice any change and everyone else around me did, I was like- Wait a minute... I don't see it.. quit blowing smoke Keeps me on track to just keep going. Congrats on the ten inches!!
