Thanks for welcome, Domina. I am going to San Diego on the 11th of July. Just having a short visit with a girlfriend. I love the weather there, mostly sunny and not too hot.
How long have you been a lifetime member? I am having a hard time staying focused. It is mostly the B,L,T's that are getting me. Somehow I think if I just eat a couple of handfuls of cereal, or a few marshmellows, it doesn't count. LOL! Guess my body counts it even if I don't write it down.
Hope eveyone has a good week. I am going to try and really tighten down on my night time nibbles.
Went to WI and I was up 5#--that is a wake-up call. The out of town trip didn't help and I've had some health issues, but really! Yep, Deb, the B,L,Ts are getting me, too. I walk by someone's desk who has Hershey kisses and grab a few (that couldn't hurt, could it?) I'm not a snacker at night, so that's good. I just need to stop eating seconds. Argh.
San Diego has the best weather. I really enjoyed myself out there.
Having some friends over for dinner tonight. I'm keeping it low points (except for the dessert). : (
Oh my gosh, you sound like me. Always have to have the dessert. Sweets are really my downfall. I do wish I could control myself with the sugar. I have low blood sugar now, but I don't want it to become high blood sugar.
Our weather here in MI is somewhat sunny and 78. More rain for the next several days, then hot and humid. Never know what you will get in this state.
Daytona, 78 sounds great--it's been 90+ here and high humidity, but that's Florida. Yes, I do like my sweets. Dinner went well last night and I had a small piece of apple pie.
Sorry I have been MIA. Busy weekend (wedding and family event) and I've been in a class all week for work, plus working at night after the class is over. Eating was great until Sunday... I need to get back on track tomorrow. The pastries and cookies at the class site aren't helping at all. I'll write more when I can!
I've been MIA for a bit too. We went to Ariz. on Mon/Tue/Wed for my son's orientation/registration for ASU. The temps were between 112-117 every day but somehow it didn't bother us at all. It is pretty hot where we live too but their heat is very dry. I actually love it there.
My eating has been so-so. My exercise has been pretty good; pretty consistent. I am on vacation until July 7th so hopefully I will get my eating more back on track PRONTO! I have noticed though that even when I don't eat totally on plan I make so many better choices than I used to so I guess that is something!
Lisa-I didn't realize you were going to be in San Diego! Too bad we couldn't have met up. Glad you enjoyed yourself. All of Southern Calif was having a heat wave too but not sure if you were here on one of those days.
Deb-welcome! Where do you live in Michigan? I lived for many years in diff. areas of MI (although I have been out here for about 28 years!).
Lori-I always hate those classes where they have all the bad snacks (and when they feed you lunch it's even worse. I'd rather be responsible for finding my own, hopefully healthier, lunch. They make you take a class all day and still work at night? I though my work was bad!!!!
Ok, hope everyone has a great day. Talk to you later. Jane
Lori, sorry you've been so busy. I hope you get on track.
Jane, Good to hear from you. Many people say that Arizona is nice. I've been to Phoenix a couple times and it was all right, but I suppose there are other nice areas. I was only in San Diego a couple days, so it was a quick trip. Folks there were complaining about the heat, but being from Florida, I was fine. In fact, I was a little chilled at night!
You two brought up one of my red light times--food at seminars and provided lunches for work. I just lose my mind when I attend seminars and training sessions. I eat all the wrong stuff. What gets me is when there is a lunch meeting and lunch is provided. I show up and there is pizza (usually not very good pizza). Pizza has way too many points, so a few times, I've either not eaten or gotten in my car to pick up something and come back to the meeting.
What are you doing this weekend? I have a wedding tonight. Then tomorrow I drive to St. Petersburg for my nephew's high school graduation dinner. I'm so proud of him. He will attend USF and study chemical engineering.
