Smile New to site: starting Fat Smash today

I am new to this site and am dedicated to losing weight while I am not working this summer. I am a teacher and this is the first summer I have not worked since I was 15 years old. I am excited. I have a daughter who will be 2 next month and I am doing this for her. I want to be a healthy role model for her. I am choosing to use the Fat Smash diet. I have a friend who is similar to me in build and lifestyle and she has already lost 40 pounds. That is encouraging. I am completely mortified when I look at what the BMI says that I should weigh. I would look weird if I only weighed 130 pounds. I would appreciate any support!

Hi there! I'm a teacher too, and really hoping that the summer is going to be a good time for me - but I'm worried that without the structure of my daily and weekly routines, I may find it hard to keep on eating sensibly and getting exercise. (In the holidays I tend to be lax about bothering with breakfast, and often forget to take my morning supplements and just enjoy this whole big limbo existence of shapeless days, rather than getting up at 6.30 and making damn sure I've eaten breakfast and taken my vitamins before leaving for work.)

Maybe we can cheer each other on?

I'm not doing the Fat Smash diet myself, but I'd totally agree that you CAN do this! The most important thing is self belief, and determination. That's what it takes! Welcome aboard!

Smile Fat Smash

The Fat Smash diet was created by the Dr. on the Celebrity Fit Club show on VH1. I have spent the last couple of days reading the book (it is a small, paperback book) and I think it will be ok for me. It does not limit the fruits that I can eat and I like that. Other diets have cut out apples, bananas, etc and have been to hard for me to stick with. I really love fruits and vegetables and am hoping that results will motivate me. Like I said my friend lost 40 pounds. She and I are doing it together this summer. Check out the book if you can.
