a lot of people have said that eating foods high in potassium like bananas and kiwi help burn thigh fat. sometimes tho, were just predestined to have thighs.

Try a Pilates class, especially one that uses a "Magic Circle" (a flexible ring you hold between your thighs while you do the moves -- helps engage abs AND inner thighs!).

We all know you can't spot-reduce...but you CAN spot-tone. Continuing to lose weight all over will be the best thing, but looking for a class like that has helped me. It could be called "Pilates with Props" or something like that.

i hate my thighs too. I like running, it really works well. Squats and lunges help with fat, and pilates is probably the best suggestion since it strengthens and lengthens, not just bulks the muscles!

By the way do consider the prospect of your thighs being big due to excess of skin. I used to be 140 kg and now I am 110. My thighs look huge due to the excess skin. I will have to get it removed eventually.

I'd suggest running and pilates too. There's a series in Moira Stott's pilates mattwork dvds where they work on legs that is killer. The running seems to help me with losing weight all over (including legs)

I bike quite a bit and I have definitely found that over the past couple of months my thighs have become toned.

I also did this exercise in a class the other day which was a variation of a squat. Basically you squat but you put your feet quite a distance apart (farther than shoulder width), do squats, then do pulses, lastly with you in squatting position move your knees ever so slightly outwards. -- This exercise was great for the thighs and butt, though I definitely felt it the next day.

As everyone has already mentioned... Squat, Lunges, and Pilates...
I do a lot of squat and lunges in the dvds I have and it's been little bit over 2 months since I started them...and I can def tell the difference. I can feel muscle in my thighs, and I lost 5 inches just in thighs..

I've always hated doing lunges, but I've noticed a big difference in my thighs since doing them regularly. You definitely use both your inner and outer thighs to keep yourself balanced as you do them.

My thighs are actually the first place I lose fat. Just goes to show you that we're all different. But believe me, it's not as glamorous as it sounds. I end up with "skinny" legs and a fat stomach, so my pants look AWFUL. Why oh why can't we all just be proportionate?!?

LOL or spot reduce.
Pilates and yoga will help with leaning and toning. Ballet work will also do wonders (have you seen a ballerina with fat thighs? hehe). but it could also be genetics... I think I'm destined to have heavy thighs and calves like a swimmer/speed skater... maybe when i'm thin enough i can train to be in the olympics! =D

there is an exercise I did in a class today- you lay on your side and do controlled leg lifts with weights (we had 9lb workout bars resting at and angle on ours shoes) and pulse after 10 reps for 5, rest, repeat 3x then switch sides. I REALLY felt it in my outer thigh. Ankle weight would would the same I'm sure.

you can find these exercises everywhere on the internet but well, here's a site that have few exercises on squat, lunge etc... =^^= i find all of these exercises are easy, take less than 30 minutes and achieve good result (though it does take time).
