Lightbulb Ham & Swiss with Crackers Lunchables

The Calories for it are 320 and 150 from Fat. What if I don't eat the cheese what would the calories be with just the ham and crackers? I had that for lunch today but didn't eat the cheese because I only like a certain kind. I'm sure them little slices of ham and the crackers can't be that much can they?

Most of the fat is probably in the cheese, so leaving that off is a good choice to reduce the fat. But, there are a lot better things you can eat for 320 calories. Why, a Lean Cuisine lemon pepper fish has 330 cals and 70 cals of fat.

Why not make your own "lunchables"? It will be cheaper and you can choose the foods you want. However, if you're out and unable to make that choice, omitting cheese is a good strategy.

I would think the sodium would be really high with the ham. If you leave out the cheese you are paying for something you are not even eating.
Make sure you are eating enough calories (but good, healthy ones) for lunch. Maybe you could add some fresh fruit to the meal.

I would have had something different but I was at work and the choices were pretty slim that day. Can't remember why I didn't bring a lunch though, might have nothing the bring most likely.

I'd say knock off 100 calories for the cheese but it's a guess.

It isn't a great choice, but given what's in most vending machines it could have been much worse. So :yay you! And next time you'll have a breakfast bar stashed in your desk drawer for just in case you forget your lunch.

I do eat lunchables from time to time. I tend to do the turkey and cheddar and leave off half the crackers. Its not the best lunch but it is filling and a ok choice in a crunch i think. What about keeping a few meal bars on hand in case you forget to pack a lunch. A can of slimfast would be a good thing to have on hand as well.

I have a box of an off brand nutrigrain bars in my locker now. I keep forgetting they are there. We have 3 vending machines, one is one of them carousel types with a variety of things which include the lunchables. A regular snack machine and a frozen foods one. The carousel one has sandwiches but they don't have the nutritional label on them. I forget where they get them from but must be a small company that prepares food for the vending guy. Right now the carousel machine is gone, it broke and froze everything. I've tried the ham & cheese hoagie but have no clue how many calories it has. I just eat the lettuce and ham and not much of the bread.

If I need lunch quick and I'm not at home I grab the lunchables. Keep in mind 350cals is NOT too many for lunch!!!!! As long as it fills you up. I know it's not the healthiest thing but it was enough protein to keep me full until snack or an early dinner.
