Hi, I'm new and in desperate need of weight loss buddies!
Hi, the name's Della. Call me whatever though. I currently weigh around 173 lbs. I want to lose weight by walking mainly. My goal is 130 lbs. I'm 5'7 and 19 years old. Do you think it is realistic to expect to lose weight this way?
I'm in need of a some buddies to help keep me motivated. If you wanna be buddies message me on one of my messengers.

What worked for you guys? The problem is, I've never worked out before in my life (other than high school gym class), I'm very very out of shape, I have no motivation, I hate diets because I just end up starving and giving up, and I don't have money to waste on dumb things that don't work or to buy special foods.
Hi Della! I know that you can def lose weight by walking at least initially as long as you stick with it. When you start exercising it is better to ease into anyways. Once you get walking you will see that you might get motivated to try new things like jogging, or rollerblading. All activity helps as long as you have a healthy diet! Just stick with it
Hi! and Welcome. I just joined the site today but have been on a diet now since last Monday. I can be the first to tell you that you can lose the weight. I am already down about 6 lbs just be changing my eating and working out. I am 20, so I know what it is like to be so young and overweight.
Lets lose together.
I agree with previous posters. You can definitely start walking to lose weight. To jump start a plateau, I would then begin strength training. It is also very important to pick a diet that works best for you. If you can handle a higher maintenance diet, go for it. I love WW because it really fits my lifestyle. I am able to be at home and prepare lots of fresh fruit and vegis. I found that Atkin's was also a higher maintenance diet. Lots of people love plain ole calorie counting or South Beach or Fat Smash or whole food or super food diets. Good luck choosing one best suited for you.
