Default 300+ Jumpin' in June Exercise Thread

WELCOME


to the June exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

And you want to jump in, because one of the main reasons to be here is to track how many minutes we exercise as a group! In 2007, we exercised over 200,000 minutes...

Okay, we not only lost the end of the May exercise thread, but we lost June too!

Let's get caught up in June!

So, I'll start. I've exercised 130 minutes in June so far.

I have lowerd my June goal from my May goal because of being on vacation etc. So, for June my goal will be 1200 minutes.

65 min today -- 30 min raking and 35 lifting.

Group total ~ 768 + 65 = 833 min

For the first week of June - 252 min. All cycling

Group Total ~ 833 + 252 = 1085 min

120 min today-- one hour yoga and one hour walking (to our downtown and back again!)

Group total ~ 1085 plus 120 = 1205 min

Was feeling a bit slacking until I realized that, just a few months ago, I didn't do this in a month, much less half it.

282 / 1000 with all but 30 minutes of it walking; 30 push mowing

1360 + 282 = 1642 Group Total
