1 cup of chopped watermelon has 46 calories. Slices can vary a lot, maybe you can get a visual image of a cup of chopped watermelon compared to the size of slice you had?
A calorie count of 350 sounds about right if you ate a whole, large (very large) watermelon . . . but Suzanne's suggestion sounds a lot more reasonable. Sure, watermelon is nice and sweet, but it is mostly water after all.
Suzanne is correct, 1 cup has around 45 calories. That translates into a standard 15" watermelon containing 1350 calories, 7 grams of fat, and 330 carbs. I eat a cup of watermelon several times a week. It is one of those foods that naturally lowers blood pressure.

Now that's something I didn't know, and info I can use right now...thanks...
And yes, 350 calories for 3 slices of watermelon seems high to me
I wouldn't by any means call it a calorie disaster. A large slice of watermelon is about as much food and as filling (and as many calories) as most pieces of medium to large fruit. For example, three decent-sized apples or pears are going to have between 350 and 450 calories.
But that's why calrie counting is both super effective and a total bummer!! DH tells me he can't enjoy his food when I tell him how many calories are in his portions ( tho, it's he who will ask). He recently told me the posting of Starbuck snack calories has slowed him down quite a bit.
I had NO idea watermelon can help lower blood pressure...I do struggle with my blood pressure, so THANK YOU! I eat watermelon almost daily, so that's great news to hear.
OP- that does sound high. Like I mentioned, I eat watermelon almost daily! I do chunks by the cup, though, and it's one of the fruits that I eat that is actually pretty low in the calories. Mostly water in it!
I weighed out 12 oz of watermelon for my afternoon snack yesterday and today - and that's a large ziploc container (the 3 cup size). According to the USDA 12 oz of watermelon has 108 cals. And that's a lot of watermelon!
So unless you ate 1/2 a melon or more, I think 350 sounds relaly high to me.
