Default Ok i need a little help

ok when i started my diet in Jan i was 171 and my goal is to be 120.
I have lost 31 lbs,and right now i'm stuck in a rut. Its SOOO hard to see these numbers drop. It seems as if diet and exercise is just not cutting it. I have gotten the taebo and lost 4lbs but thats it. So dose anyone have any suggestion on how to drop the last 20?

Patience and subtle adjustments.

As we get smaller, our bodies need fewer calories to run...it takes less energy to carry our smaller selves around than it did when we were bigger! So, if you have some room to go before hitting the "bottom" limit of 1200 calories, now might be a good time to knock off 100 calories or so from your daily intake and see if it makes a difference. If you're already at 1200, though, this isn't recommended.

Changing up your exercise is good too - glad that you switched that around. Otherwise, just eat as cleanly as you can and be patient. Sometimes the last pounds take SO long, and all you can do is just persevere.

I would try calorie cycling but I would up your intake - Maybe average 1400 and calorie cycle between 1200 and 1600. If you increase your workouts, then you'll still lose with higher calories.

Try a new workout. Maybe try a running plan, something slow to start and increase weekly. Maybe pick a race later in the summer - like a 5k or a 10k and slowly work on progressing to that goal to be ready for the race. Even if you don't lose as much weight as desired by the race time, you'll still accomplish the race and feel great about yourself.

Congrats on losing 31 already!

Is 140 considered "normal" for your height? If so, it might be really hard to lose! Have you thought about adding in weight lifting?

Building muscle has lots of benefits -- including increased metabolism and a "tighter" look! If you look at 2 women of the same weight the one who is more toned may be a size or so smaller than the one who isn't -- a pound of muscle takes up much less 'space' than a pound of fat.

I read somewhere that when you consume the same amount of calories every day, your body gets used to it and adjusts itself to run the amount of calories you ingest. They (yes, those people who have no names or faces) suggested changing the amount of calories you consume, even if it means consuming more, and then just exercise a little more to burn off the extra that you ate and it will spur your metabolism to work faster. I have no idea if this works but it kind of made sense to me. Good luck in whatever you try.
