The book is
The CR Way (CR, as in, Calorie Restriction). I know some of us on here were discussing this past week about PCOS women needing to restrict calories more than normal dieters (quoted from
The Patient's Guide to PCOS), possibly down to numbers as low as 1000-1200, just to acheive steady weight loss. I've been incorporating the principles of Calorie Restriction (CR) into my diet, since it preaches eating less calories but more nutrients, thus eliminating malnutrition, and promoting superior nutrition.
I read the first book
The Longevity Diet which first mapped out CR. But now they have this second book mentioned above that just came out April 1, and it's heavily concerned with insulin resistence and pre-diabetes... everything us PCOS gals are going through.
Just thought I'd give a shout out about the book. I'm going to pick it up today or tomorrow and let you know how it is. I'm pretty excited- anything that is specifically catered toward our condition is always helpful!
